All the other sites i read while they said both players struggled at times also mentioned theyre great potential and stregnths this site basically said they dont know if these guys are top 10-15 picks in 2017 which seems kinda absurd to me

Ive never seen this site before maybe its one of the sites that tries to be overly different and pretend theyre reinventing the scoutign wheel and tell you how theyre the only ones who realize these players are overrated that everyone else thinks will be very good eventually

that didn't sound overly critical to me. sounds like they saw 16-17 y/o's play against guys 3-5 yrs older than them, many with professional experience.

But they didnt mention that in the article they made it sound like these guys shouldnt be high draft picks three years before their even draft eligible

i didn't get that vibe at all. that's a tough setting for kids that young and physically underdeveloped, compared to the competition, to look good.
it's no surprise that jaylen brown got the highest praise. physically, he's the most developed out of the bunch.

Do you think he has the highest pro upside in the 15 class?

he's close. rabb has immense potential too. to me it'd be b/t those 2. i think i'd give ivan the slight edge in that department for now.

i've seen cody riley
viewtopic.php?p=39601556#p39601556
troy brown and deandre ayton
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1320455

i have also seen pj washington out of prime prep and gary trent's kid, but both by-proxy because of who their teammates were (mudiay and tyus jones). i don't have an opinion on washington but gary trent jr left a good impression on me. he's physically strong, which is no surprise given his genes, has easy deep range and already plays with poise.

i've also seen glimpses of jarred vanderbilt. he's one of the few freshmen who plays all the way to u17 (he and riley), but i didn't see enough to have an opinion. all i saw were flashes of handling and shooting off the bounce for a kid with good size already.

ManRam any thoughts on Henry Ellenson?

He jumped to 5# overall in 2015 for ESPN.

Being recruited by UW, Duke, Creighton, Michigan St., Michigan, North Carolina, Arizona St., UCLA....

Is he a Kevin Love type?

report:
"From his junior to senior summer, Ellenson has changed his body and has improved his conditioning. At 6-foot-10, he has a 7-2 wingspan. With improved conditioning, Ellenson is more mobile and athletic. He has good hands, scoring moves on the block and can face the rim for jump shots. He's a good area rebounder with good instincts. He could played tougher and will need to get stronger, but he's going in a great direction as a prospect."

i get the rise in ranking, but i do not get him being in the top 5.
ellenson isn't a strong, physical rebounder so i don't get the k.love impression from him. he's much more of a finesse big with outside shot-creation ability and enough ball skills to put it on the deck.

hadn't really seen much of Ellenson, but what I have I like in terms of putting the ball on the deck and how smooth he plays at his size. But he doesn't look like a big that really wants to play as a big. Like he's more content with being a stretch four and picking his spots when he bangs. Not to say he can't post but he's selective about who and when it seems. I don't really see the K Love outside of them both being caucasian. I see more Andray Blatche in his game than Love.

Stanley Johnson (Mater Dei H.S. / Fullerton, Calif.)
Tyus Jones (Apple Valley H.S. / Apple Valley, Minn.)
Justise Winslow (St. John’s School / Houston, Texas)
Leron Black (White Station H.S. / Memphis, Tenn.)
Isaiah Briscoe (Roselle Catholic H.S. / Union, N.J.)
Jaylen Brown (Wheeler H.S. / Alpharetta, Ga.)
Jalen Brunson (Adlai E. Stevenson H.S. / Lincolnshire, Ill.)
Kameron Chatman (Columbia Christian School / Portland, Ore.)
Marquese Chriss (Pleasant Grove H.S. / Elk Grove, Calif.)
Tyler Dorsey (St. John Bosco H.S. / Los Angeles, Calif.)
JaKeenan Gant (Effingham County H.S. / Springfield, Ga.)
Luke Kennard (Franklin H.S. / Franklin, Ohio)
Dwayne Morgan (St. Francis Academy / Baltimore, Md.)
Malachi Richardson (Trenton Catholic Academy / Hamilton, N.J.)

Antonio Blakeney (Oak Ridge H.S./Orlando, Fla.)
Austin Grandstaff (Rockwall H.S./Rockwall, Texas)
Chase Jeter (Bishop Gorman H.S./Las Vegas, Nev.)
Tyler Lydon (New Hampton School/Elizaville, N.Y.)
Allonzo Trier (Montrose Christian/Seattle, Wash.)
Thomas Welsh (Loyola H.S./Redondo Beach, Calif.).

I'd roll with..

Tyus Jones /Jalen Brunson
Justin Simon/ Antonio Blakeney/ Luke Kennard
Stanley Johnson/Jaylen Brown/Malachi Richardson
Justise Winslow/Kameron Chatman
Myles Turner/ Stephen Zimmerman

word is that briscoe is performing well at the trials. they could easily take 4 PGs with them because of simon and briscoe's size.

some interesting measurements from the u18 trials:
-isaiah briscoe is 6'4 220 with a 6'9 wingspan. projected to be a PG.
-tyler dorsey has a negative wingspan. 6'5 with shoes with a 6'3.5 wingspan.
-tyus jones has a 6'5+ wingspan and is up to 191 lbs. better numbers than last time he was measured.
-malachi richardson has a 7' wingspan
-stanley johnson weighs 243 lbs. he needs to watch himself.
-thomas welsh with the c.kaman-esque negative wingspan, but respectable 9'3.5 standing reach
-stephen zimmerman is up to 241 lbs

excited about Zimm and Tyus. Hope Zimm's added weight also brings confidence to bang a little more. At least add it to his game if nothing else.

Glad Tyus picked up some size, should help him with contact moving forward.

Did the reports on Stanley say was wearing the weight badly or you're just concerned because its been so rapid and he's still only standing at 6'7" with it?

zimm's supposedly been the most impressive big during the trials so far. there was some concern earlier in the spring that the added weight effected his mobility too much, but he's adjusting and performing better.

a 6'5 wingspan for tyus is better than the 6'3 wingspan he was listed at earlier. a 6'3 wingspan is usually associated with sub 6'ers.

there's no mention if it's bad weight. i don't think the weight is effecting johnson's play. word is that he's beasting as usual and taking it to his twin (j.brown) in their own little competition, but i still think he needs to watch himself. i swear he was weighed during the all-star events and he was listed ~10 lbs lighter.

yeah he was lighter. as long as he doesn't lose his athleticism or quicks with the added weight he's gonna be more of a handful than he was supposed to be when he hit the league.

That battle with him and Brown is something I'd love to see. Sounds like Stan has been reading the reports on how much more skilled Jaylen is in comparison.

http://nbadraft.net/adidas-eurocamp-top-usa-prospects

nice write up on some of the prospects mentioned in here (Thon, JayBrown, Dennis Smith, Kobi Simmons, Brandon Ingram) and what they did at the Eurocamp.

Article said Jaylen Brown could be top 10 in this draft let alone 2016.
