Last year, we didn't have any player in this category

Dario Saric
Marcus Smart
Noah Vonleh
Last year, Tier 2 also was empty for the first time since I've been doing this column.

Wow so last years draft must have totally sucked, at least according to this guy.

Just don't see anyway this guy isn't in the D-League for a year, maybe 2.

So, it makes sense, meaning that it IS believable, but it's not believable since someone somewhere said it?

The fact that it was rumored doesn't make it any more or less believable. It's irrelevant.

Thanks for posting. Sort of exciting to see. Have to think Flip has to get at least one of those tier 2 guys after trading Love.

Wait, isn't your argument that the fact it's rumored at this time of year makes it less believable?

Edit:

Ford has also consistently held Mirotic in the same tier as Gordon, Vonleh, etc. So, a Chicago trade could potentially net us two prospects that are considered better than any in last year's draft.

Just saw my first Kristaps Porzingis mixtape on Grantland and i am totally sold. He looks like a young white KG. Draft and stash him for two years.

Another positive of the Chicago deal. Sure its easy to say "we don't need three first-round rookies next year", but having that many picks allows you to get someone like this who you can stash.

Watched his draftexpress, I like his strengths, it looks like he can shoot over anyone and I also got a KG / Dirk kind of feeling from him and I think that will for sure be his role. Like a good shooter to knock down those higher percentage mid range shots. If he get's stronger / fills out, maybe add a little Ibaka in there on the defensive end.

Knew right away his weakness was going to be strength as he looks mad skinny, but a lot of what is highlighted has a LOT to do with him just filling out his frame and gaining 30 pounds. Same age as Aaron Gordon basically so that's another huge plus.

Porzingis might go top 15. He is a hot name.

He reminds me of a anthony davis/KG type of player. Great fit on our team.

He could easily be the best PF in this class.

But unlike Davis or KG Porzingis doesn't rebound worth a damn. I like him as a draft and stash pick but not in the lottery.

If theres one thing about the wolves I'm confident in.. its their ability to develop big men.

Gorqui became a double double god with the coaching from Sikma and company.

With the Spurs demonstrating how useful Diaw is I wonder if Kyle Anderson is seeing an uptick in his draft stock.

BTW I believe I was the first here to make the Diaw comparison for Anderson.

I hope that after Embiid workout, Cavs will decide to trade #1 pick :)
