Good find. I think my favorite was the slam over Bogut at 1:38.

Hopefully someone will post a video of all his fancy assists next.

My favorite Josh McRoberts' dunk of the year is a toss up between the slam over Birdman in the playoffs or the backwards jam between defenders in the critical crunch time of the game against the Nets. I'd probably give the edge to the dunk against Brooklyn since I jumped out of my seat in excitement when that one happened

I was just going off the video, but yeah, now that you mention it, my favorite was the dunk over Birdman in the playoffs. That got me up out of my chair and yelling lol.

Why Josh McRoberts needs to be signed and remain a Hornet.

Post#505 » by BobsBuddy » Wed Jun 11, 2014 12:37 pm

With the season MCBob had and the number of 3s he put up, it's almost 100% he will excerise his player option.
I feel we should sign him to a 3 year contract if we can get the numbers worked out with him. Unless Zellar can shoot 3s or Tolliver can be signed cheap and move to 4, we need McBob as our starting stretch 4 or we need to draft a pure PF. In last nights game Diaw and his passing destroyed Miami. McBob has simliar skills to hit the open man, shoot 3s and get some boards. He's earned the right on the floor to be considered for an extension. :hoop:

With the way Boris Diaw is playing, and how well the spurs are doing at the moment.

I hope everyone will understand the importance of having a "facilitator bigs" in the line-up such as McBob and also understand that "Flashy" Bigs like Griffin are not the especially the best solution to win basketball games.

I hope Josh is smart enough to stay in system that made him look that good.

Crazy thing about Blake is that he's a remarkable facilitator as well. His courtvision and playmaking abilities are underrated imo. But yeah, I hope we resign McBob, but I hope even more so that we add a better playmaker at the 2 so Josh doesn't handle the ball quite as much. If he could play the same style as Boris has been lately we'd be awfully hard to guard.

Mcroberts is crucial to build from last years success. He is HUGELY underrated and it was a slap in the face for us to draft zeller. Id love to see us trade zeller and #24 for a wing and resign mcroberts for at least 3 years.

for whatever its worth we were 4-0 without McBob and won each game by 6,11,2 and 30 points and 3 of those games Zeller started and put up good stats, if its a 27 year old McBob vs 21 year old Zeller i pick the 21yr old

Explain this logic to me. He outperformed his contract. IMO, purely from a financial perspective, he should opt out.

Don't be silly - if we didn't we would not have had a backup PF, it was a position of need regardless of whether we expected McBob to start. Poor reasoning on your part here.

What FA PF would you then want us to sign?

Jordan Hill

Hill has a previous relationship with Clifford from the Lakers, and his advanced metrics are almost on par with Greg Monroe's, just 1/4 the price tag while being a much better defender

Jordan Hill

With the cap space LA has don't see them just letting Hill walk. He was annoyed with D'Antoni's system and now they will have a new coach. I don't see us paying $5M to get him, which is what it would take IMO.

The Lakers have much bigger fish to fry before they can occupy Hill at the moment, so maybe just a little bit of early interest could lure Hill away from Tinseltown where his last couple years haven't been that pleasant. Hill's agent should see the PF depth with the Hornets as a place to possibly earn a starting spot on a team destined for a playoff run while the Lakers are generally in rebuild mode at the moment

I would be willing to pay Hill up to $5 million (2-years/$10 million) for 10 points & 7 rebounds per game off the bench (20 minutes per game)

Not saying I'm opposed to him coming by any means, but I'm skeptical we could get him without overpaying.

I think were going to resign Adrien cheap.

I would love for that to happen if this time Clifford is willing to play Adrien at his natural position of PF, and give him minutes over Zeller if he's deserving
