It hurts to see Wade look DONE on the court    . He is proving people like Simmons and Barkley right. You can tell Wade's body is not responding to him. I hope Wade bounces back but he hasn't looked right since game 1 of the Finals. The most scary part is that he didn't have two good rounds in him with the maintenance program. I hope he has a killer game 5 and plays well after that if we win but I don't know how much game he has left in him.

I just don't understand why he's declining so heavily at only 32 and why he hasn't evolved his game, i mean Kobe Bryant had his fair share of his injuries including knee injuries and he was still balling at 32, damm it he was balling before he did his Achilles.

It's not about evolving his game, he had a meniscus removed in college and is now feeling the long-term damage you suffer from it. There is no bouncing back from this, if your knee is f***ed you just can't play well on a consistent basis, no matter how skilled you might be.

Exactly. Ask Brandon Roy.

1. Bill Simmons is the chief Heat hater.

He's a Celtics homer and still cries at night because the Heat ended Boston's run with their big 3.
Every time he tries to find reasons and excuses why the Heat should lose. He keeps picking the Bulls, Pacers, OKC or whatever.

He basically takes the result he wishes for and tries to find reasons why that should happen.
He was proved wrong over and over and over again (Wade and Lebron can't coexist - that was HIS narrative; Bulls are better etc). Now the Spurs are giving him some oxygen, and I am sure he feels pretty damn good about himself and his so called predictions.

2. Wade IS done.

Admitting that makes me so sad, because 2006 doesn't seam that far away.

I still remember how I loved watching him not just play, but DOMINATE. He was the real next Jordan. Nobody else could take over a game like him. He shredded Detroit's vaunted D in the playoffs in 2005 (40 and 36 points). I still remember him taking over a regular season game against the Pistons IIRC and scoring Miami's last 17 points, including the game winner.

Has it really been that long ?
2006 feels like if not yesterday, only a couple of years ago.
Realising that I'm not gonna see him do that again is a sad thing.

But if we're realistic, the writing was on the wall.
When was the last time you saw Wade split a double team ?
Think about it.

3. He didn't help himself by not developing a 3p shot.

I have no idea why he didn't do it.
He was shooting a lot from 3 before 2010, and he cut it down drastically after (see, Josh Smith, it can be done).
Only taking good shots is VERY smart, but Wade not having a 3p shot allows the opponents to crowd the paint. They don't respect him from the 3p line, that's why you see Splitter or Diaw on him at times.
He should at least take the wide open 3's. If he makes a couple, the D will have to react.

4. He did become a bit lazy and entitled and spoiled.

He routinely stayed around and argued with the refs instead of going back on D. He routinely was the last man back on D. And now we see him playing a one-man-zone, switching everything and just staying still, not going out to 3p shooters, not doing much of anything.

I am sure the knee plays a big part in this, but for the good of the team he should ask out if he can't contribute. He's smart enough to realise when he's not able to do anything, he should not let his ego stop him from doing what's best for the team.

5. Blair doesn't have ACL's.

The fact that he can play in the NBA without ACL's is CRAZY impressive.
BUT, he doesn't get the minutes and usage rate Wade gets.

We need to stop listening to these people

They are like fans but have journalistic backgrounds

They are not analysts or experts. They are fans who get to broadcast their opinions because they are apart of the media
