At this point, I'd rather have MCW over Smart. The only point guard that I'd take over MCW is Exum, and even he might not turn out as good. Since MCW is a pure point guard with poor to average shooting skills, I think we'd need a pure shooting guard a la Stauskas or Young to help mask his shooting deficiencies. Smart is not that, he's a combo guard that is neither a true 1 or a 2.

While I'm a fan of both Nick Stauskas and James Young, Marcus Smart is a better basketball player than both by a lot. And MCW'a presence wouldn't stop me from picking him over them. Actually, if the 76ers draft Wiggins with #3, I think James Young is a bigger redundancy to Wiggins, than Smart is to MCW.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

If Smart is the pick at 10, I lose no sleep, but he's not my ideal pick. In no way do I trade up to get him.

I really hope the Magic take him at 4.

If We can't move up to grab Smart or Gordon after We pick Parker who is who I think is going to be left at #3 I think We should trade back with Chicago for 16 and 19 and Mirotic for 10 and Wroten. Then select P.J. Hairston and Jerami Grant
MCW
P.J.
Grant
Parker/Mirotic
Noel
MCW
P.J.
Grant
Parker/Mirotic
Noel

I'm o.k. with your plan B, but why do you trade up for Smart?? Gordon has some star quality to him, but I'm not sure I'm moving heaven and Earth for him either...definitely before Smart, but what are you giving up to get him?? Parker and Gordon would be a balanced pairing for the first round.

I still don't see Wiggins falling to 3 so if we get him, we might not even have the 10th pick. I get the point of drafting BPA over fit but in Smart's case, I don't think it's worth the risk with MCW already here where as taking Embiid to pair up with Noel is worth it IMO.

Yeah I'm not that crazy about Smart and MCW backcourt but I feel like there's something special about Smart though I wouldn't give up more than a couple of 2nd's and take back a bad contract for Him so I don't love him that much. Gordon I would even give up Thad plus Wroten lol Plan B is good too though

The MCW/Smart backcourt fit doesn't matter right now. This is about maximizing talent so going forward as BB develops the young guys
I speak the truth.

Chad ford reported earlier that Jabari already had his second workout with the Bucks.

Parker makes sense for MIL or MIN (if they trade with CLE) because he will put fannies in seats. Both of those teams need tons of players so they might as well start with Parker who is safe and might be more apt to stick around after his rookie deal.
I've been reluctant to say this but I think Jabari's ceiling is much higher than K Love's current play. I'm not a Love fan anyway. He reminds me of other players that were very good at a couple skills but lacked the overall game to win quarters at the end of games. Dr J, Chuck and AI all had this flaw. If there was only one guy I had out of this draft who I had to give the ball to with 10 seconds left in the quarter for the next 10 years, I'd give it to Jabari. I think Jabari can really shine in that role and I'm sure that whatever team picks Jabari will have a very excited fan base.

“This may be one of the best jobs in basketball right now,” Colangelo said at a press conference introducing him as the new GM of the 76ers after Sam Hinkie resigned.

Harsh but fair, imo. Although you could argue that defense is Jabari's fatal flaw. That said, if he's left at 3, I take him in a heartbeat.

Love would be great on a legit team...replace Bosh with Love and the finals are still undecided. A dominant rebounder translates to a better team, and his other intangible skills would blend seamlessly with star players.

Hey Philly bros, Bucks bro here. We're having a hypothetical discussion over on the Bucks board about whether our users would trade Giannis for #3 if Philly offered. Where do you Philly bros stand on that sort of value?
Go Bucks!

I like Gianninis but no way in hell would I give up a top 5 pick for him.

I would rather have the 3rd pick.

Hell no. For #10, I'd consider it, but not #3.

Welcome! I think we would greatly prefer #3. I think #10 is a little bit of a low ball offer, but closer to where we would value him.
