* PLEASE USE THIS THREAD FOR ALL OFFSEASON RUMORS, NEWS, TRADES ETC.

Battier obviously retiring
Lewis ? FREE Agent - definetly gone. The only reason to resign him would be to fill numbers
Chalmers - Free agent After the pathetic display I rather he goes.
Ray ALlen - Free agent - can still knock the 3, deadly shooter. But his defence is horrible, basically everything he scores he gives it up on the other end. Not sure ?
oden - free agent
beasley - free agent
Jones - free agent
douglas - free agent
Haslem - Has player option, will most probably take it as no way he will get paid 4 m anywhere.
Andersen - one more year left in contract, if anything we need someone like him again.

Cole - has good contract, for 2 more years

Big 3? Wade will probably opt in his stock isnt worth as much as 20 m , lebron is no brainer to keep,
and bosh will opt in?
I think at least one wont opt in, and spread the money over other years.

we have 69 million for next year...if all big 3 opt in

if big 3 take longer contract, and each give up 4 million next year. we are at 57 million..
how much money we got to spent on free agents? how is our situation? anyone explain?

Am reading haslem will opt into his contract as well - http://www.miamiherald.com/2014/06/12/4 ... plans.html

There it says, we can spread the 4 million he will get next year over multi-year contract.
I think this would be perfect choice, Haslem will be hard to get contract of more then 1 - 2 million elsewhere.
We can take his 4 m contract, spread it over 4 years for 1.5 m each year maybe.

I'm curious to see if we retain at least one of Oden/Beasley and still have hope of one panning out

And yes, **** Chalmers

We need a staff , and maybe a new coach. We sign oden , didnt pan out but it was hard. We all knew and atleast for me i had very little hopes because he needs more time. We signed beasley and we didnt even utilized him. For how bad of a crack head he is and all the **** going on with him..did the kid even had a chance to play in a real game? Other teams deveplop their players , we dont..we rely on the same people over and over and over..how much of a waste would be to had stayed with ennis for example? He would be as bad as battier? Lots of things needs to change. Win or not , alot of things will have to change

Very unfortunate if Haslem opts in. I know that he owes us nothing, but he's not even nearly worth the contract he's getting right now. Do right. Opt out, and be promised to be brought back immediately for the vet minimum and be taken care of by Arison and co. which is probably already guaranteed. I'm sure there's a spot in this organization for UD after basketball.

Haslem opting in would hurt this team big time in terms of improving.

Ray Allen says he will think about his future over the next couple of days. "I want to do it on my terms."

Ray Allen says he will see where his "true heart lies" in a couple of days in terms of playing or retiring.

Big 3 + Chalmers, Cole, Beasley, Oden, Birdman, Allen, Haslem Leaves you with 5 open spots. Bring Ennis, Draft James young if hes there or Mitch Mcgary. Sign a Solid center. Sign a athletic wing that can handle the ball. Mike Miller for the last spot?

First things first. We need to get Lebron on board. Otherwise it's rebuilding time.
