Of course we will miss our best offensive player. What kind of silly question is this

Let me rephrase it, didn't want to put it out as straight-forwardly - Germany will have a lot of hassle getting out of this group. (which they otherwise wouldn't have, if they were healthy)

We should do it without Reus, too.

The problem is more that we have an incompetent coach and a selfish captain.

We should play like this:
-----------Klose---
Schürrle-Götze-Müller
-----Khedira-Schweini
Großkr-Hummels-Boa-Lahm
---------Neuer

Or if for whatever reason we want Özil to be included in the starting lineup move Müller up top instead of Klose and Götze to right winger.

Hearing Schurrle could start as the false 9? He didn't have much success with us in that position, but hope he has a massive game if he gets to play.

I'm not a heat fan but I've got to say, the hate that guy is getting this year is crazy. So many people happy to see him fail. Rumours have him leaving the heat- maybe he's in toronto next year ;)

Not gonna lie, sports teams have been kind to me this year.

How did you come about supporting that random mix of teams, if you don't mind me asking? In Toronto, no less?

he's just supporting them during their playoff runs with the leafs/raptors out , he's a raptors/leafs fan

Well, I'd play Podolski over Schürrle because Lukas has shown what he can do at big tournaments and I just like Schürrle in that super sub role.

I'd also play Özil over Götze, even though Özil hasn't been good as of late and even Kroos looked better in a central role then Götze, who could play on the left wing.

BTW: Kicker's projecting the following starting eleven.

---Podolski--------------Özil-------------Müller---

------------------Kroos---------Khedira-------------
------------------------Lahm----------------------------

-Höwedes-------Hummels----Mertesacker--Boateng---

----------------------------Neuer----------------------------------

Though, there's been no real leakes of the starting formation, so that probably means Kroos will play.

Too bad :)

So great that the Heat lost. I hate them because they beat us three years in a row and stopped us from going to the finals in 2012, ecstatic they only got 2/4 and the 1966 Celtics record is safe. Its also cool that Ducan is offically better than Kobe now, plus the Spurs big three has won more games than the showtime Lakers big three too.

On topic, pretty excited for Germany/Portugal and USA/Ghana. My friend has gulped the koolaid about this year's US squad unfortunately. Expecting some tears from him later

Seems like the starting eleven for Germany's now out.

I was right with the exception of Podolski, as Löw will start Mario Götze instead.

So it should look like that.

--Götze------------------Özil----------------Müller--

-------------Kroos---------------Khedira-------------

----------------------------Lahm-------------------------

-Höwedes--Hummels---Mertesacker--Boateng-

------------------------Neuer---------------------------

I hope those three up front change their positions a lot and that Müller's the main guy for the centre.

Everytime I look at the German starting 11 and see Höwedes' name, I want to laugh at Löw and cry at the same time.

I'm not a fan of these "false 9" lineups :-? Would've preferred Poldi/Klose/Muller up front

Germany over Portugal, in a good game. I'm hoping high scoring, like 3-2 or more. Haven't really had a high scoring game between two teams in one game yet, where both teams score more than a goal.

I'm optimistic U.S.A. can beat Ghana. I mean we're due right? So sick of losing to them. We want to advance, we HAVE TO BEAT Ghana. And I think as a U.S. fan we should root for Germany to win their first two games, maybe in the third game they will cut us some slack and play their B Teamers against us(though their B Teamers would still probably be favored to beat us).
Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.

Chile overachieved friday by playing Valdivia as their false nine.

Germany is the favorite... I love german soccer, and i love the balance between strenght, tecnique, tactical awareness, speed and good decision making that the whole team has.

But hey, like KG would say, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLEEEEEEEEEEE (yeah i know i'm mispelling it)
