Jordan never fully understood basketball. He had the lowest basketball IQ of any NBA "superstar" in history.

Very good start for us, but Portugal has been incredibly disappointing.

well, couldnt have been much worse for portugal today. lost 0-4, coentrao injured and pepe suspended for that red card. maybe they just got it all out of the way, so they can play better the next games...

glad germany won. i was convinced, that they would, but this was in surprisingly convincing fashion, i must say. only bad thing really was that hummels injury. hope its not too bad.
too many urkels on your team, that's why your wins low

Black Stars are always fun to watch. Not rooting for either team but I feel bad for them after what Suarez did 4 years ago.

Sadly, this was to be expected.

Portugal had a bright period, when there was a strong leader managing the team - Scolari, Brazil's coach. He was a guy who had the authority, prestige and self-confidence to choose the best team possible and unite the players - all their egos - under his guidance.

When he left, Portugal went back to what it was before him. The national team is a cesspool of lobbys and huge egos, with a coach that is strong with his players but weak to certain external pressures, resulting in a mix of guys who haven't done enough to be in Brazil and some who should be but aren't because they don't get along with Bento - guys like Danny, Quaresma, Carvalho, Tiago, Adrien and others.

Plus, Bento is well known for his extreme aversion to change. The starting 11 is the exact same that played in the last Euro Cup but two years older. We didn't play well then and I am not expecting much better this time. On top of that, Ronaldo is clearly out of shape.
