You obviously are clueless about soccer, it is a red, always. There is no room for interpretation.

Ref can't even give a yellow for that, it's a straight red, always.

trust me when I say you're the clueless one.

Dude I live in Germany, I have seen probably 1000x more soccer games than you, I played soccer myself, trust me you are clueless.

Why does Ronaldo always struggle against Germany?

Post#463 » by No_20 » Mon Jun 16, 2014 8:26 pm

4 Matches.

0 Goals.

2006 WC, 2008 Euro, 2012 Euro, 2014 WC.

And Portugal lost them all btw.

Can someone explain to me why mediocre(imo) defenders like Boateng and Mertesacker can make him quiet meeting after meeting.

Because they have enough players/organization to mark him out and press Moutinho enough to keep him off the ball? :dontknow:

Because this Portugal team has nobody creating for Ronaldo the way Di Maria, Benzema, Isco or Modric do at Real Madrid.

lol let it go man. The rules are clear- that kind of play warrants a red when it's non-football related, but if you've watched enough football, you'll know that goes unpunished all the time in football matches.

These next few days until Portugal rips up Ghana and the us are going to be really annoying. They're not a great offensive team despite having a couple great offensive players. Their success has come off a tough defense that's come up big in big moments and great team organization in front of them making them capable of disrupting even prime Spain, with Ronaldo killing the lesser teams and coming up with some important goals. This isn't Real Madrid, it's not even Manchester United. This is still a good team, not as good as his clubs, but still good and they have a very different style.

Because for some reason, our right fullbacks turn into the Berlin Wall when CR7 arrives. Arne Friedrich, Philipp Lahm and now Jerome Boateng just gobbled him up. Also, our MF is quite good in neutralizing teams with 1 very dominant player. (That's why Spain and Italy give us such fits...)

Also, German defenders are not afraid of anybody. They are maybe arrogant and lackadasial, but never afraid. Sucks vs Balotelli or Torres but seems to affect CR7.

Ghana have more talent and should win, but they've disappointed me a lot of times and have a lot players who can dispute, although KPB is coming off a great season as a leader on that young and injury ravaged Schalke team. If he's fit he can decide this even if his team mates disappoint.
