Spurs are a great team. Manu was the best 2 guard in the playoffs. Kwahi was one of the 4 best SFs. Duncan was one of the best bigs. Parker didn't even play as well as he could but they still had Mills and Green and Diaw and Splitter.

52.7% from the field, 46.6% from three, 11 threes a game, 120.8 ORtg (highest on bkref going back to the 1985), 17+ SRS in their last 15 games. Just an amazing team that we had to play much, much better against to have a chance and we simply didn't. Actually, even when we did, they still hit shots.

Great team.

No shame in losing to them.
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

2014 Spurs the best NBA of all time. Fixed.

I will stand with this until history said so. Forget Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant. Lebron James should be in his best playing with Spurs Basketball. again, Basketball is team game with 5 players.

Classy thread guys.

Coming from a fan of a rival team, I'm obviously glad to see the Spurs win, but congrats on your season, and your championships in the last couple of years.

If the 'Big 3' were to break up, which I think is unlikely, it would definitely be a weird feeling throughout the entire league, for better or worse. Unfortunately our Bulls have never really gotten healthy enough/matured enough/had a complete roster enough to overcome you guys in the post-season, but we've had some great regular season match-ups and some memorable post-season moments as well. You guys have been a genuine powerhouse.

Good luck this off-season and commiserations.

If Heat could have won it would be fair to say LJ won it, just like it was Kobe winning 5 years ago and MJ 15 years ago. Even in the past Spurs championships you could say it was Tim Duncan who won it BUT this time it was THE SPURS who won it. Almost every player made a difference and the coach and system was also a massive factor. I still believe NBA championships are usually decided based on the distribution of limited elite players but it was nice to have a change when the TEAM beat the best player in the league.
