Spurs vs Heat Game 5: Video Breakdown

Post#1 » by drk3351 » Tue Jun 17, 2014 11:56 pm

Unfortunately for the Heat they could not pull out the victory. But here I breakdown what went right early for them, and how they then lost the lead.

Nice breakdown, had to stop at 3:03 though. Got angry again at how Heat blew a big lead so quickly.

good breakdown especially the end. We basically have been saying this for 3 years. Too many isos and screen and roll iso. I liked that OP noticed that our pick setting was poor. These are the things I want a head coach like Spo to work on or an assistant coach to fix with the team. That is why changes need to be made to the coaching staff and the approach because even on the highest stage we are still relying on freelance basketball instead of a solid team effort.

unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington

I like Bosh as a player, but he sets some of the most pathetic screens. We really do a poor job in general in setting screens. And the Spurs really took advantage of Wade being a non shooter from range this time around. It's compounded our issues offensively in this series. He was cheated off so much, and the spacing was just terrible with him in the game.

Just horrific execution in general on both ends. That's on the players just as much as it's on Spo. The right plays are being called, but you've got to have the players execute it. All in all, just a lazy/soft approach that resulted in a complete ass kicking.
