Its still too early to tell who can win this tournament. Brazil and Argentina have not impressed much and I need to see Germany play a better team, but they do look like the most stable team.

Spain isn't as crappy as the first two games would suggest. They didn't get the opportunity to grow into the tournament like they have in the past, facing two teams who exploited their weaknesses quite perfectly.

That's the Group of Death for you though, can't afford to make any slip-ups.

Let's chill here , 3 tournament wins in a row. Italy have been washed in the group stages defending the title not too Lin ago you know? In an easier group too. And Spain did smash Italy in the euro final just 2 years ago.

It happens to everyone , can't always win.

The big difference is its in the past. Uruguay won the world cup twice. Greece won the euro. Spain won 3 times. All in the past.

Germany, Netherlands, Colombia and Italy the best teams right now IMO. Brazil is still a major threat as is Argentina. Belgium could make noise too if they continue their 2nd half form. I think England actually looks like a decent dark horse at this point too. Rooney just can't shank everything like he did against Italy

what a horrible flop for Spain, totally exposed...getting clowned twice is embarrassing. they got lucky in 2010 , would've lost the final if robben had a right foot.

I wasn't the biggest fan of tiki taka, but I can respect how they dominated the last 6 years winning 2 Euros and 1 WC. Just sad that it's end of a dynasty, always appreciate when these types of teams come and go

I agree with the poster that said France are a better dark horse than England, firstly they have a much better chance advancing in their group

Knew I was forgetting someone. France looked legit and have a very talented team. I don't even know if I'd call France a dark horse. They played better than Brazil or Argentina but don't have the home advantage. Was thinking England as more of a dark horse because they lost their opening game.

Yeah but they were a very good team defensively, Casillas was at his very best, and their passing + movement was very crisp.

I just think Del Bosque had been riding the cocktail of Xavi, Alonso, and Casillas for too long. You can excuse him for that if he didn't had suitable replacement, but when you have guys like Fabregas, Koke, Isco(who wasn't even selected for the tournament), and De Gea waiting on the sideline you need to refresh the squad by using them.

You don't see Germany playing Klose. Heck even the US team left out Donovan.

This disaster was on the manager for sure.
