Yeah but they were a very good team defensively, Casillas was at his very best, and their passing + movement was very crisp.
I just think Del Bosque had been riding the cocktail of Xavi, Alonso, and Casillas for too long. You can excuse him for that if he didn't had suitable replacement, but when you have guys like Fabregas, Koke, Isco(who wasn't even selected for the tournament), and De Gea waiting on the sideline you need to refresh the squad by using them.
You don't see Germany playing Klose. Heck even the US team left out Donovan.
This disaster was on the manager for sure.
