How do you guys feel about Chalmers returning?

Some of the posts in this thread are really disrespectful to a guy who was a big part of two rings. Remember, only five guys didn't take DNP-CDs in last year's playoffs: Bron, Wade, Bosh, Ray and Mario. And we couldn't take him off the floor in Game 7 against San Antonio. He's been very valuable.

But Wade's decline has really hurt Chalmers. What made Chalmers and Wade such a good backcourt pairing was that Wade's dynamism made up for Chalmers's lack of ball-handling. Now that Wade is no longer as dynamic, Chalmers's weaknesses are getting exposed.

I hope he signs with a team like OKC and kills it. I think he will be an asset to a winning squad. He was a great Heater and I will always be a fan.

Well, hello there Mario Chalmers. I don't think most people here are discrediting your contributions in the previous seasons. You were just horrible this season esp. in the playoffs and you may have played yourself out of a roster spot for next year. That is all.

As you said, things have changed since 2012 and we have different needs now.
If you can "kill it" hiding behind KD and Westbrook because you can't dribble the basketball very well and that will make you feel like you are a good basketball player, more power to you bro.

I appreciate Rio's contribution, but I believe it's time to cut bait. We need an upgrade at the point; ball-handling, playmaking, decent from range, can put the ball on the floor are ideal, but most importantly, a far better decision maker. The thing about Rio is the inexplicable ****ups, like 'why the hell would you do that?' More competency and a steadier hand is needed.

If he were to come back on the cheap (which he won't) that might be worth considering, but if he's the starter next year, it's a problem. We need someone who can actually run an offense with Wade declining.

I welcome Chalmers back, but I do think we need to upgrade that position because of the decline of Wade. There is not much of an option to improve over Wade, but their are options to improve over Chalmers. Like I said before, I am hoping Miami will go after a player like Eric Bledsoe, who can carry the scoring load in the backcourt that Wade cant any longer.

Rio was always backup PG talent, he over achieved for a while but that's what he is.

He can stay for backup money and a backup role. He shouldn't be expected to take a major role.
