McBob and his agent are betting that his skills are in higher demand thanks to the clear trend in the league for shooting and passing bigs. I still believe he can get his best deal here, but who knows? His value is clear to our team and chemistry;STILL he is limited as a starter, particularly on defense.

I'd love to have Josh as our reserve 4 and sixth man. That would require obtaining a true stud starter and moving Zellar. I see potential in Cody but he will not be ready as a starter next season, or perhaps ever.

The ONLY thing that would make this not sting as bad is if we got Randle or Gordon in the draft. and even then it would still be a huge shot to our team chemistry without Mcbob on the team.

We would still be short a starter since neither of those guys is close to ready to play PF as a starter.

On a bad team sure. If you force feed a small PF with no shot the ball enough he can score anything on bad percentages.

He is no where near ready to be a small PF in the NBA.

Maybe on the Sixers or Bucks. Would be a miracle if he averaged a double double here his rookie year.

thats what everybody said about Drummond too and look how that turned out. It gets easier for bigs when they get in the NBA because defenders cant camp up in the paint.

Who in gods creation said Drummond was undersized. His question was being lazy. He didn't average a double double as a rookie and only scored 13 point in 32 minutes this year. Drummond is still thought of on potential because if he has maxed out his offense he will never be a great center. He needs to learn to shoot FTs better. I think he can make strides but he has a ways to go.

Randle is not overly athletic for a NBA player and is not long for a PF. Like Zeller he will have to learn to shoot before he is an effective NBA player.

I don't know about a double-double, but if Randle's drafted by a barren team like the Lakers, I could certainly see him putting up 16/8 as a rookie.

he was one of the best players in the NCAA last year and he was a freshman. This guy is going to be a freak I just dont see him falling to 9, I would think hes going to be the first player drafted after the big 3.

Would love to trade Cody and #24 to any team above us for the chance to draft Randle. I prefer Vonleh, but Randle has real potential to be quality starter. Get Randle, a wing at 9, re-sign McBob and get Lance in free agnecy (along with a solid backup PG) and I'm dancing in the streets :rockon:

You have the right to think that. I don't want to draft a bust and he is the biggest risk. He makes me think way to much of Bennett. He has some huge games against weak 4s then would suffer greatly against players near his ability. I just remember watching him quit trying against UNC because he had no solution for the one on one defense.

I'd trade that package for any lottery pick. i'd be amazed if we managed to trade into the top 10 with that package

I still doubt that he'll be better than Jabari Parker, but I can easily see him being at least neck & neck or the 2nd best player from this draft class. All Randle need is to develop that jump shot and he'll be a star, 'no if's, and's, or but's about it'

As much as I love Zeller, people who compare Randle to him are kidding themselves.

Randle is freaking tough and loves to bully the paint, he'll need to adjust with his lack of ideal size but the guy is built like a tank and is a better athlete than given credit for.

His offensive touch is something I believe only certain players are born with.
