I'd be really disappointed if they chose Wiggins. He has a decent probability of becoming the 2nd coming of Darius Miles as opposed to a guy like Dominique or Vince Carter. I just don't see him having the will power to be great.

Athletic sure, uncoordinated yes, motor problems yes, probably never will be a great scorer... add in millions of dollars.

Parker is the easy choice here. He's more fluid, more efficient, and a strong likelihood of being similar to Carmelo Anthony as a player. While his ceiling is not much higher than melo, Im not sure his floor is even that low, unlike Wiggins..

Wiggins is uncoordinated and has motor problems?

Even if the guy doesn't become a great ball handler there is still a pretty good chance he can at least become a guy like Kawhi Leonard. I haven't really seen the motor problems with him, he always looks like he's trying pretty hard to me.

As long as he gives effort, he should have the defensive end on lock. As long as he can develop consistent three point range, he'll be at least a good offensive player because he'll be a terror in transition and he can get his shot off over anyone because of his athletic ability.

I'd question the motor of the guy who doesn't play defense more than the one that does.

this questioning of peoples intangibles drives me **** bananas. youre telling me a 19 year old kid doesnt want it hard enough and thats why he wont be successful in the nba? and that another kid wants it more?

theses are kids that are nba prospects. they didnt just get there cause they can jump high. draft best prospect available and worry about their heart later. go back to questioning lebron you skip bayless wanna bes.

No. I'll be happy with the arrival of either of these two good kids.

Let us pause to think: Start of the season we were formed into land with a 13-15 Pick and wallow in mediocrity. The Tank materialized, we have new owners and we have a young talent next year.

I'm more concerned about who would be the best addition in 2015: Okafor or Alexander.

Note: If the choice is Wiggins ...

Baring a trade, Cleveland will most likely take Parker and we will take Wiggins. Exum will probably go 3 and embiid will fall.

tempt fate/providence:

1. to do something which involves a risk and may cause something unpleasant to happen I always feel it's tempting fate to leave the house without an umbrella.
2. to cause bad luck for yourself by talking too confidently about a situation It's probably tempting fate to say so, but I haven't had a cold all year.

I'm sorry you don't understand a common idiom, or what idiom means.

Parker's defensive shortcomings are vastly overstated.

We're guaranteed 1 of the 2 prospects we (fans) initially intended to tank for. Gasp!

I find this a bit odd of a question and I guess I missed that portion of the huge thread for context.

Embiid was always going #1 in my eyes. So I always assumed it came down to Parker or Wiggins. So will I be disappointed? No....that came on lotto night when we got #2 after losing the most games. Ugh. Clearly now Cleveland gets the choice and we get the leftovers.

I will be thrilled to have either and even more so if we picked the right player in hindsight. I prefer Wiggins and my wife likes Parker but either way we have a really strong prospect.

I would be happier with Wiggins over Parker. Not completely sold on Parker. Other that a scorer, what else is he going to do? Not sure he ever will lead a team to a championship. His comp of Big Dog is seems accurate, except he is a little bigger.
Trade S. Jackson soon. NJ seems like a nice place for him.

I'd be disappointed if we drafted one of Parker and Wiggins and tried to build a team around them instead of tanking again to add another piece.
But in regards to the pick, no disappointment here.

On the contrary, I would be highly disappointed if the Bucks DON'T take Parker/Wiggins.

like others have said, before the season, i would've never imagined us getting one of these guys. although i kind of foresaw the bucks sucking because of the lack of scoring ability on the roster, i thought it'd be like that #8 pick range or so. never thought we'd end up with #2 overall.

so yea, i'd be really excited. i don't think this past season scratched the surface for what these guys can do. i'm really excited.
