How far does Embiid fall?

Post#1 » by fart » Fri Jun 20, 2014 10:56 pm

How far do you think he will fall if at all next week because of his injury? He is twice the prospect Noel was last year and Noel fell to 6th. He has already had a few major injuries though and might never play a full 82 game season if his body is already breaking down. I could see him dropping to #9 or #10.

To the 26th pick I'd say.

Hopefully 11th.

But seriously with the jazz and Lakers shopping their picks I do not see him dropping out of the top 6, even if those 2 teams decide they do not want him someone will trade up to get him.

4th to Orlando. I'm also almost certain he won't drop past Boston at 6.

I hope to 7, but I don't see Boston passing up on him.

I'd bet my life savings he doesn't fall to 10, let alone 7.

If we don't get Love, I don't think Ainge will pass on him and if we do, I think the Lakers won't.

So 7th.

Lowest to 6. Probably 4-5. Even if he seems like damaged goods, his incredible upside will be enough for someone to bite early on.

No way he drops past the Celts. Ainge is probably going to unload Rondo and Green and probably use the same tactic the Sixers did last season and tank the 2014/15 season.

They'll just sit back and hopefully aim to get Jahlil in next years draft.

If he falls to the end of the top 10 what if a team like Spurs (who could easily give him a whole year off) trades up and grabs him? :o

Phoenix could also think about trading up as their medical staff has a great track record and he would be a perfect fit there. They could let him take his sweet time and recover too.

Could see him falling as far as 5.. Exum isn't a horrible reach top 3 & Orlando likes Smart.

5, if the Jazz don't take him i'd be surprised if nobody offered a nice trade to move up for Embiid.

I dont know about that. Andre Drummond fell to number 9 and he didnt have anything wrong with him. After seeing what happened to Greg Oden and Cleveland always throwing a wrench on the draft. It is possible.

Embiid is an insane prospect. You can also say that Len and Noel were taken (in a weaker draft) but it's not like Drummond's draft was hugely deep. Just bad GMing in that case. I just don't see him going past 4 or 5.

Drummond was an easy top 5 in that draft.

He is pretty insane but having these injuries could hurt his worth pretty severely. Like I said, no one wants the next Greg Oden. Im not saying he will drop but it is possible considering his injuries.
