So while he was my 4th choice among Embiid, Wiggins, Exum, and Parker, i'm warming up to not being annoyed if he ends up being the pick.

This is exactly how I felt about Parker and how I cam around on him. I was concerned about his defense and I viewed him as a tweener. I felt he would struggle to physically dominate the way he did in college. But after I saw the measurements, his size and length, I feel a lot more comfortable with him matching up at the four. I'm still not sure what to think about his defense. And that's one reason why I still prefer Wiggins. Wiggins has the potential to be an elite player on both ends of the floor. If he can achieve that then that's a rare thing. Those are the players that can lead a team to a championship.

I sure would like to nab at least one of them on Draft night!

Wolters/Micic
Wiggins/Thanasis
Giannis/Middleton
Ersan/Henson
Embiid/Zaza

And that team would still get you a top 5 in next year's draft.

I'd consider dealing Henson and a future first for 8, if Sacramento would be interested to try to snag Saric as well.

Except Redick and Stauskas actually are pretty damn similar. Stauskas is just a better athlete. Both deadly catch and shoot guys.

Stauskas plays a different position, is two inches taller, has four more inches in his wingspan, and is significantly more athletic.

I agree that they are both great shooters but there are plenty of basketball players of various ethnicities who can also shoot while at the same time actually resembling Nick Stauskas. My comparison is Rip Hamilton.

Different position? How so?

2" taller/4" wingspan? OK. I think they're pretty damn similar, except for the hops, which I pointed out in my frist post. I don't really see Hamilton, because I think Stauskas is a better shooter than Rip ever was.

Stauskas is a way better 3-point shooter but they will both be catch-and-shoot/screen shooters. I see where you're coming from.

Stauskas is a way better ball handler and athlete than ya'll are giving him credit for. He'll be able to create his own shot.

We need to come out of this draft with Wiggins and Elfrid Payton. Don't care how or what it cost but it just needs to happen.

I don't mean this to sound like criticism or anything, but you seem to really favor non-Americans. Any reason?

There's only three American players on that hypothetical roster. Would be amazing.

How do we lock a thread and have a new one with 8 pages within a few hours? It's a Friday night, people. Step away from the screen/monitor and go out! Meet some people! LIVE!

This year I suppose is a bit of an anomaly, but Popovich said it best, talking about how, largely, the Euros are already over themselves, haven't been coddled, have faced grown men for years. The training in their academies tends to generate better basketball IQs than AAU Iso ball.

Key word - Popovich. I think the Spurs situation (as far as foreign players is concerned) is extremely unique, and don't know if we'll see something like it again.

Call me Mr. Duck but I've been scared off by Wiggins. I just don't trust his mental aptitude. If he becomes a Buck hopefully my intuition will be proven wrong. Right now I go 1. Parker 2. Embiid 3. Exum 4. Wiggins.

Glad we're deciding between Wiggins and Parker and not going after Embiid. Not with how big man heavy the 2015 draft is at the top (Okafor, Towns, Turner, Alexander). TBH, I want either Parker or Exum. Wiggins passive personality scares me away. Just seems like we won't be able to get the best out of him here.

I'm all in on Parker but that's nothing new... Won't hear me complain one bit if its wiggins though. Too much going in the right direction for us finally to be pessimistic about either guy.

I still want Exum at two. :(

I hope they have a change of heart.

He wasn't just talking about Spurs players, though. He was talking about Euros vs Americans.

I still think the SPENCER HAWES thread should be stickied in perpetuity.
