when you're a young adult every night has the possibility of being friday night

sometimes you go fall asleep at 2 am on a thursday morning after too many 2.99 long islands and half price apps at applebees and then bars after, and you feel like putting a pen through your right eyeball the entire next day at work. then your boss says lunch on the company today and you get the greasiest thing you can with a large mountain dew and things seem better. you swear you'll never do it again, but then you find yourself doing cheap shots of tequila off a skank's naval at a dive bar next monday night when you swore you'd just get a couple nice warm lagers and have a laid-back conversation with friends.

so some friday nights you just make a jack's frozen mexican pizza and drink busch light in a can while watching the office re-runs on tv and debate wiggins/parker hoping some kind of clarity precipitously emerges

Give me the 6'9" 254 pound Power Forward that can move like that. :o

I used some of my sources to get a picture of what Jabari looked like at the workout with the Bucks.

Wanna know my weekend plans? I'm gonna re-read every gameday thread from last season. Can't wait!!

I still think the SPENCER HAWES thread should be stickied in perpetuity.

Most definitely. Sticky that thread. And, man, there is some absolute gold in those GT's. Absolute gold. I still remember back in early December PP fearing Ainge and his tank-mastering. And, all I could think was: "But, we have 3 Commanders. 3 Commanders!!!" What a season. And, it's all coming to a head Thursday. And, damn you Embiid and your Navicular bone! Damn you!

Officially moved on from Embiid. Changed my avatar from Embiid Bucks shirt to Parker/Wiggins. I'm ready to talk myself into either one, just bring on draft night!

The GODLEAVY FOR THREEEEEEEE!!! thread a few weeks later too. That really cemented that we were losers for the long haul. Up 2, 16 seconds left, jumpball at our end of the court and Dunthreevy ends up banking it in. Pure joy follows. The most memorable moments of the last 10 years are all losses (well those and Mo Will's shot against Indy).

Listened to another Chad Ford podcast from today. Said what the doctors have told him is that Embiid's surgery is a 4-6 month thing until he can function normally again. Is a 9-12 month timeframe to get back on an NBA basketball court.

Unfortunately Boston is going to end up taking him, Embiid will pan out two years from now, and we'll never hear the end of it from Bill Simmons.

I prefer Wiggins, but will be happy either way. Regardless of who the pick is the Bucks are going to get a big boost in talent.

Yeah, my two most memorables of the previous year were the game Jennings threw up the halfcourt shot with 6 seconds left and the game where Monta got fouled on a 3 with 2 seconds left and missed all three FTs.

Not including Tobes 3 and foul against Daniels to send the game to OT plus his FU dunk at the end :nonono:

That would be fantastic but nobody is taking his fat ass until he's an expiring. I think the only tradeable assets we have right now are Knight, Henson, and Middleton.

He's honestly the one guy I think has zero shot at being traded.

I sure would like to nab at least one of them on Draft night!

Far too many "untradeable" guys get traded every year for me to call OJ Mayo's relatively modest 8m contract untradeable. Hell. You might even get something for him like a 2nd from some team with the 3rd best defense and 28th best offense at the deadline (i.e., the Bulls).

I think at the deadline you could see teams looking at him, like how Marcus Thronton was picked up by Brooklyn, but in the offseason I can't see it at all.

I can't see us being able to trade Mayo without taking crap back in return, no point in trading him. Not going to couple any assets to move him, that would be classic Hammond tho. Just got to hope he bounces back next year, after next season he'll be an expiring and maybe then someone will bite.

I'm pretty sure chase budinger got traded for the 17/18th pick from Houston to Minnesota a few years ago. I'll always use that as reference in regards to draft picks not being as highly regarded as we think they are.

Mayo to OKC for 21 or 29 should be Stevie Wonder asap! (Signed, sealed, delivered).

yep. there's really no point. we're not ready to compete yet, so no reason to be creating space yet.

i don't think OJ is a great player by any means, but i do think he can be a nice shooter for a championship team. someone will take that on after this year for sure.
