I'd rather have Saric than Parker.

That is one sad, lonely, panda.

Now that's absolutely absurd. There's very little that Saric does that is better than Parker. Very little.cinematographer wrote:I'd rather have Saric than Parker.

I've had Saric ahead of Parker for, like, 4888 months now.

Started watching him last season when I figured he'd be in the 2013 draft. He's not a bad player but he's not close to Jabari Parker in any sense. He's limited athletically, is way to right hand dominant and, against NBA PFs, he's going to struggle scoring inside. He's a capable shooter but he still has a lot of work to do IMO. I don't see him being able to play SF in the NBA due to his lack of athleticism. He's strictly a 4 in my eyes and he's going to have to get much stronger if he's going to be anything more than an energy big off the bench. I can see him being a 12/7/5 guy at his peak in some kind of point forward role, though. It's not bad, but not great either. Definitely not someone you take over Jabari Parker.

The bottom line difference between Parker and Saric is that Parker's a tweener in a good way, and Saric is a tweener in a bad way. Parker's definitely a 3 who's big, strong, and long enough to play 4. Saric doesn't seem to be either a 3 or a 4 - doesn't have the speed or athleticism to play the 3 and doesn't have the strength to play 4.

21 players invited to the green room? That seems high compared to years past, but I do like it. Must be a lot of variability in the lists teams submitted. Hope nobody is waiting around for awhile.
Go Bucks!

Unless all those players are chosen consecutively then some of them will fall to the second round, sadly.

The biggest difference if the Bucks get Parker vs Wiggins is that they are still 2 guards short of a competitive team. Wiggins could line up at the SG and solve one of the Bucks biggest holes. Parker at the SF or PF probably isn't going to raise the bar very much past the 8th seed. If we go straight back to the 8th seed we won't improve this team to a point it needs to. The hole at the guard positions will be with us for the next ten years if it doesn't get solved now. We are hoping Parker develops into a great player but Lebron was the same way at Cleveland because they could not draft high enough to sure up the holes. Top free agents do not want to go to Cleveland or Milwaukee. IMO the Bucks need to stop trying to have the market on forwards and put their efforts into the gaurd position. 2nd round PGs aren't going to get us there even if you are playing 2 at a time.

Re: Official #2 Pick Thread - BP says it's down to AW/JP
I really don't care much about team need. I care about landing a star. I know the Cavs get to make the first call and they could take the #1 guy off our board. I just hope then that there are at least 2 stars in this draft.
As to the 8th seed? That is a real fear. We could maybe be an 8th seed without this pick if a number of things went right that went wrong last year. Ersan returning to form, Sanders, etc. I do agree though adding a prospect of this caliber makes the 8th seed pretty likely.
I am of the opinion that now is the time to tear down and get some picks if possible. Start mining for core players. We don't want to win games next year on the shoulders of Ersan, Delfino and OJ Mayo for example. We're ok with winning games next year on the shoulders of Giannis and our pick but that likely will take another year but then the 8th seed is just a waypoint.
So trade Knight (whom I like as a 6th man) for a pick. What can you get? What must we add to get into the 5-9 range? I would look to move Ersan and possible #31 targeting Payne. Is Sanders really unmovable? I'll tell you what if I were another GM I'd still consider it. I think its plausible.

You're telling me. I'm already debating between Jahlil Okafor and Emmanuel Mudiay for 2015 .
