Höwedes doesnt prevent the cross. Mustafi doesnt even jump. Seriously, this 4 CB lineup doesnt work at all.

I do think (but I am not sure) that it is because of his tactical awareness and he is strictly following the strategy. It might be the choice system over individual quality.

That's fine. But then why didn't they just take Mustafi over Ginter in the first place?

If Reus doesn't get injured, Mustafi isn't even there.

As said, I do not really know. Could imagine that he was convincing in the training sessions in Brasil, while being with the final team.
