I can't imagine Saric is the guy in the 5-9 area BuckPack was talking about, he's rarely in that area in mocks.

Put me in the 'If we somehow land Exum and Saric' FAP corner. I think Cine is here sucking his thumb and holding his blanky alongside me, but I can't seem to see through all the smokescreen. And, Jeebus!!, is that someone fisting Twirlzy's dog again!?! Oh lawd. Oh good lawdddddd!!!

It's Dougy McDermott. Hammond scouted him during the season. My theory anyway. I'd be pretty disappointed if it really happened tho.

For how precisely BuckPack words his posts I'd have to imagine it is no one besides someone out of the Vonleh/Smart/Randle/Gordon group. When he says 5-9 I can't imagine thats a guy like McDermott or Saric who are routinely out of the top 10 in mocks.

McDermott does not fit the Hammond drafting Profile of high athleticism and Upside. McDermott will be a fascinating test case. Almost nobody with his steal/block ratio has had any use in the NBA, then again if he became 90-100% of Parker Offensively I wouldn't be shocked either. There is a lot of use in the NBA for an awesome shooting player with legit scoring moves, size, and decent athleticism.

I find it funny how Gary Harris is universally forgotten about. On many boards see people clamoring for Vonleh, Gordon, Stauskas, Smart, Gordon, Lavine, Payton, etc but Harris is completely ignored. I have no opinions on him since I almost never saw him but you never hear him brought up on any team's board.

Ur still missing a 9th guy. U keep saying 5-9 and only name 4 players outside of the obvious top 4. If we traded for the 9th pick then essentially everyone uve mentioned is gone. Did we miss our target or is it someone like McDermott or Saric who we'd want to guarantee? Everything I see about McDermott has him not making it past Philly at 10. Charlotte and Philly are both rumored to go Stauskas/McDermott, Philly gets leftover.

So who's ur 9th guy? And why is that so outrageous to u?

Crunch time lineup of Exum/Bogdanovic/Giannis/Saric/Sanders, with Middleton or Wolters able to slot in for Bogdanovic. Or Saric -- or Sanders -- if we're going small or have foul trouble.

I don't think it matters if he's not being mocked in that area at the moment. He has been in the past and Hammond was for fact angry when Saric withdrew his name from last year's draft. Longstanding crush seemed to directly hint that it was him. That's my interpretation.

No ninth guy. I think there are four guys who are almost always in that 5-9 area on mocks these past few weeks with a few randoms squriming their way in every once in a while. It's BuckPack, he's not going to say 5-9 and mean a guy who is often located 9-14.

BuckPack said unanimous 5-9. Vonleh, Randle, Gordon, and Smart have pretty much always been in the 5-9 range. There isn't a 9th guy because only 4 guys have been unanimous in the 5-9 range. McDermott has been projected to go in the 5-9 range by some but has been far from a unanimous pick in the 5-9 range.
