How about a combo of Chris Bosh at the 4 with Jordan Hill at the 5? You would have enough rebounding, shot-blocking, lateral speed on D, floor spacing with Bosh, and different threats to attack the defense. They matchup really well with the competition L.A. would likely see in the playoffs out West. Then you pick Smart in the draft to lock down dynamic PGs and you bring back the young wing talent L.A. had this year.

PG- Smart, Farmar
SG- Bazemore, Henry
SF- Bryant, Young
PF- Bosh, Johnson
C- Hill, Kaman

I'd welcome Bosh with open arms if he came to LA. I always thought he was a beast and Mitch botched it when he decided not to trade Bynum for him back in the day. Bosh is out of place in Miami as 3rd fiddle ---- he's perfect when he's the 1st or 2nd option.

Retaining Hill would be huge. One of my favorite bigs in the league because he's always active on both ends.

Nice I'm liking this line up, but would probably swap Henry for Baze
and we also have Meeks as either 3rd pg/sg

Kelly as 3rd big and Sacre in case of injuries
My Go Team
Magic, Jordan, Pippen, Duncan, Shaq

My Counter
Stockton, Kobe, Bird, Rodman, Dirk

Today's Team
Luka, SGA, Tatum, Giannis, Wemby

I also like Deng quite a bit from the perspective that he is still a good defender at the 3 and he prevents larger defenders from guarding Bryant. It's the same way that Pippen prevented SFs from guarding Jordan in the post. If I had to go for one free agent in particular next year it would be Deng to free up Kobe's game.

It doesn't take an incredible off-season it takes a solid off-season to put things right in Laker land.

#7 and Nash for Ty Lawson (Denver should really think of bottoming out IMO)

(Now @ 41 million or so including cap holds I believe)

Sign Deng 4/48

Sign Gortat 4/36=40. If the market for him is too high absorb Asik or someone or just re-sign Hill.

Boozer off amnesty.

After, Bring back Young for 2 years with a portion of the MLE. Other guys with min deals if they can.

Lawson
Kobe
Deng
Boozer
Gortat

Off the bench bring Young, Hill if he can be re-signed, etc.

I'm not a Lakers follower, but if this is at all realistic (is it?) I'd like to see them do this as a win now plan.

Cap space for Boozer #16 & #19..

Nash & 19 for cap space (Toronto for Salmons unguaranteed contact?)

Smart at 7, Nurkic or Payne at 16.

Deng for 4 yrs starting at 7-9M

Offer Hill whatever we have left, if he doesn't take it offer it to Kaman.

Young is said to be open to signing for 1 more year on the cheap to allow us to offer him 6M with his bird rights after we're over the cap next season. So we bring back Young for cheap.

1 year minimum contracts for the rest of the roster.

Smart/Farmar/Marshall
Kobe/Bazemore
Deng/Young/X
Boozer/Kelly/Wes
Hill/Nurkic/Sacre

Competitive next season with the cap space to sign a max player in 2015 & 2 good rookies to develop. Our defense should be insane.

Williams? Deron? Makes too much to afford him with Melo.
