Beal, Drummond, Oladipo, Giannis, Wiggins, Exum, for me are the guys I'd take over Parker since Davis was drafted.

Hell no do I want to watch Perkins get burn on this team. Hell ****** no. Screw the draft lottery next season. This is a crucial moment to put an exciting young team on the floor. I'm not watching that perpetually scowling scrub.

Agree. I don't mind if we're terrible next year, so long as the young guys are getting all the burn and taking their lumps. No need for vet scrubs ruining our juju.

Exactly. If the deal is Ersan for Perkins/21, then buy him out ASAP.

The problem with that is that I really doubt he gets bought out. His reputation as a tough guy, championship in Boston, time with OKC would get him kept around til at least the deadline. That could get ugly. I'd rather deal Ily straight up to Phoenix for 27.

I don't like Parker's game for what the Bucks are trying to do, but in the right role -- as a stretch 4 -- he can probably be a top-50 impact player. Of course, if the defense never comes, then he's like Ryan Anderson, with the potential good of his offense eradicated by the defense.

That's a terribly inaccurate comparison & projection for Jabari Parker.

Agree. I will however say, if Parker extends his range, he could be the best stretch 4 in the league once Dirk retires. In fact, I think he should be watching Dirks game tape all summer. That's the style he needs to play in the NBA.

It's not hate. He's not a 3, rumors of his production have been greatly exaggerated and he's not a willing passer.

If Parker had Diaw's vision and passing ability, I'd have him significantly higher. But the downside of a chucking PF who can't create for others who doesn't have much room to grow isn't remotely appealing.

I certainly don't begrudge you for not wanting to take a flier on him. I think his floor is significantly lower than the consensus.

I like Bog/Staus/Ander all before him for the Bucks, however.

I was joking around, he's #3 on my board. Part of that is not wanting to overthink things.

I do agree with your stance on Parker in general though. The guy has bust potential and I reject the notion that he's a "safe" pick.

Right now i wouldn't cry (or complain) if we picked parker. But no one here convinced me that he would be a star. And i'm trying to convince myself of that and I still hope someone can, or if we pick him I'll gladly eat crow with it. I just don't see some of the things people see in him.
