I'm going to have to start complaining every time Mike Napoli hits a home run.

I'm surprised the pile of crap we traded for Happ doesn't come up every time that guy has a bad game (which is basically every 2nd start).

I try my best :)

Bautista outplays his contract by more than $70 million over the next four seasons (2013-2016).

I'm going to go out and enjoy the last beautiful day before the Bautista news that may destroy our season tomorrow. I suggest you all do the same.

If we're without Bautista/Lawrie for a month or more, methinks we need to put any grand win-now schemes on pause until rather close to the deadline, because there's a very good chance that we'll sink like a stone, and no big acquisition is going to offset that.

I'll believe that when I see him on the field again.

Yeah, I don't play a doctor on TV or anything, I just didn't get the feeling he was seriously hurt. that I'm right.

1 good start doesn't make up for 1.5 years of mostly crappy ones.

Feels like another classic Jays tease being bubble bursted. Sigh.

Just what I was thinking. As for Bautista's injury, he said in the post-game interviews that he doesn't feel that bad, a little sore just above the back of the knee, might be okay but wants to see what the MRI shows.

That doesn't suggest a torn anything, but some kind of inflammation. I'm guessing he might still need a stint on the DL, but not for much more than the 15 days.

The MRI won't be until tomorrow here in Toronto, so no point hanging around for news on this board today.

This team is falling apart...

4 wins outta 14 games and here come the injuries. This is starting to hurt.

2009 all over again. Such a promising start, and then everything falls apart.

WTF is going on with Toronto Professional sports teams?!

I'm telling you this city is cursed.

Me too Randle. Any prolonged injury to Bautista and this season imo is over.

and what's with Lawrie getting hit on the hand so many times this season?? unbelievable!

This is where AA and the organization sitting on their hands all winter will hurt the team. There is really no way to replace Bautista, but a good 4th OF may have been able to hold the fort for a few weeks (i.e. Craig Gentry, who was traded within the division for a mediocre return by the Rangers). We have to hope other players step up for a few weeks to make sure the team doesn't crumble, but it doesn't look good.
