No doubt. The intrigue of the unknown is always more enticing then something that you feel you've identified.

That's a terrible deal for us. Chances are we are keeping our pick anyway since I don't see us making the playoffs next year so it's basically #3 for #6 and #17. If they want to move up to #3, it should cost them two of their future unprotected Nets picks.

Based on the nba trade value chart that teams use #6 and #17 is actually too much to give up for the #3 pick.

#3= 19.6

#6 =15.2
#17= 8.2

I agree with the value chart, in football. You cannot use it in basketball because 1 player makes all the difference. In football you can get players in the 4th through 7th round. In basketball, players after the 20th pick in the 1st round have a tough time making a roster.

Man...points pretty strongly at Embiid being at the top of Hinkie's Christmas list...huh?

Doesn't sound like the end of the world...does it?

But wait! Arn Tellam won't give the medicals to the Sixers! He obviously doesn't want Embiid in Philly - does he? Well, I could understand why he would want his client in LA or Boston instead of Cleveland or Milwaukee...something that - before this - seemed like an impossibility...but now could theoretically happen. Now, Arn is a Philly guy (went to college at Haverford)...hard to imagine that he would be that pissed off if Embiid landed here...but it is a delicate balancing act...if Hinkie pushes too hard, or gives the impression that Embiid is the guy he has been after all along (wait...i thought Hinkie was going to trade 3 and 10 for 1 to take the object of his obsession, Andrew Wiggins), then Embiid might not fall into his lap at 3.

I think the al issue now is whether either Cleveland or Milwaukee wakes up in time to reconsider passing on Embiid. I am increasingly convinced that, if CLE takes Parker and MIL takes Wiggins, Hinkie won't be able to get the card with Embiid's name on it up to Silver fast enough.

I really think Embiid was Hinkie's guy all along. Is he still his guy even after the injury? I have no idea. But I won't be shocked if Hinkie sees this injury as a blessing in disguise. Not only that, but Kyle Anderson continues to scream Hinkie pick at me. I really believe 3 of Embiid, Smart, Vonleh, Anderson, and Adams will be sixers come draft day. Maybe Stauskas is an option too, even though he's not high on the typical analytics board. Spacing is key.

Agreed that those look like typical Hinkie suspects, except for Stauskas. Don't see us taking him. I'd also think that Dante Exum could be a target based upon his FIBA stats, although that's a smaller sample of course.

Really sad news about Isaiah Austin, he was projected mid 1st last year and now just got diagnosed with Marfans syndrome a week before the draft..also did anybody even know he's been playing with 1 eye the entire time?!

Randle has a screw in his foot. Embiid will too. Not sure if there is an issue. I want Embiid. I want not one not two, not three etc.......championships.

Good point.

Maybe your not related to Forrest Gump after all.

Stupid says stupid does? I dont get it how this relates to a young man with a career ending illness.

Black heart. Do not care. No I don't understand how it relates to him either unless Isaiah Austin is related to Bubbuh

Safe to say this will look like most us Thursday night when Cleveland and then Milwaukee are on the clock:

Haha, but it will be so much fun to watch.

I've been waiting for the draft since the start of the season

Lol, it didn't come to that, although he would have known the causation of my sickness. Basketball is primarily our focus of conversation, he knows when the draft is and he knows I wasn't coming into work that day.

If Wiggins goes number one and Embiid goes 3...

I will be on needles all night expecting a trade that may never come lol.

I can't remember but do they usually televise the 2nd round? If not, what's the best way to follow it?

They do...they generally start talking to gms and such around that time tho. Also teams start taking guys that don't exist and stash overseas. It;s hilarious plus Hinkie will probably OD on trades again.

Cool. I was in too much shock to remember anything after the Holiday trade.

I only remember because I got excited every time we would draft somebody in the second round, get upset when we would trade them, and then when I wanted us to trade Kazemi we ended up keeping him lol.

At this point I have no freaking clue what the Sixers are thinking, am on serious rumor and innuendo overload and to be truthful I'm not even sure what I would want the Sixers to do. One day some guy is underrated, and by the next afternoon everyone is tearing him down. This is the outright goofiest draft year ever, and that was before Embiid hurt his foot, not the insanity and inanity is pretty much complete.

I imagine Hinkie will make my head explode on Thursday, and I can't wait!!
