Whatever you think of Zeller, he was a 4 pick a year ago, and fits the ORL rebuild perfectly.
ORL already has the 4 & 12 this year. You're replacing Afflalo with one of those picks. Might as well turn Afflalo into Zeller.
You don't need the 9 or 24 too.
Neal's thrown in for salary reasons.
Then draft McDermott @ #9?
Kemba Walker/
Arron Afflalo/Gerald Henderson/Chris Douglas-Roberts
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist/Doug McDermott (#9)/Jeff Taylor
Josh McRoberts/Jarnell Stokes (#24)
Al Jefferson/Bismack Biyombo/Brendan Haywood
That would be beyond solid with a lot of depth, and still a lot of cap space to go after the best backup PG on the free-agent market from Shaun Livingston to Greivis Vasquez and a solid PF acquisition. Actually, it would still leave Charlotte with enough cap space to exhaust Taj Gibson from Chicago. Throw Gibson into the above roster and the Hornets are one of the deepest teams in the Eastern Conference next season
What do we trade for Gibson? #24, Taylor, unprotected 2015 1st? I do that deal.
I would trade a future 1st, protected or unprotected, and they could have Jeffery Taylor if they wanted. All I know is that roster would be legit enough to give the next LeBron team a challenge
