I think we should go after one of Chicago's picks, especially if they look to sell it. But I'm guessing that they can get an offer a future first, I would do that with restrictions on the pick.
We Should also go after Phoenix's late 1st. I'd offer the 2nd and a possible future 2nd or cash. Phoenix moves out of the 1st and now doesn't have to deal with guaranteed contracts. Detroit moves up 11 spots giving them a better shot at Tyler Ennis or someone else that fits.

Re: Pistons on NBA draft night
I'm sure SVG/Bower would like to move up and may be trying though I'm not really sure what we'd offer besides future picks. Besides KCP and Singler, we wouldn't give up anyone else for a late first rounder or teams wouldn't want what we offer. I think we'll be at or near 38, and we'll simply take the best shooter and that will be that. Pretty unexciting, thanks Joe.

Re: Pistons on NBA draft night
All we really need to offer is cap space, since some teams are looking to dump salary to go after Carmelo or LeBron. I am not counting on it, but I am hoping we get it. If Carmelo really is interested in Chicago, they'll have to dump their firsts, Boozer, and Mike Dunlevy Jr. We have the cap space to take some of those off their hands, although they might find a taker for Boozer+a pick. We could still nab their other pick and MDJ.russkopp wrote:I'm sure SVG/Bower would like to move up and may be trying though I'm not really sure what we'd offer besides future picks. Re: Pistons on NBA draft night
This is the Pistons thread, for the D-League team you have to go elsewhere.
Hes a 6'6" SG who can shoot 3s pretty well, but his 2pt% is fairly poor all thing considered. Hes not athletic, he doesn't really do anything other then shoot. And he doesn't even shoot that often.
To me his upside is Matt Carroll, his likelihood is career Non-NBA journeyman.

What do you expect from 38th pick, to be a starter when he comes to NBA?

No, but that doesn't mean that we have to draft a low-upside scrub.kf96 wrote:chrbal wrote:This is the Pistons thread, for the D-League team you have to go elsewhere.

Re: Pistons on NBA draft night
I think best-case-scenario at #38 is clearly DeAndre Daniels (UConn)
Long, athletic, can shoot and plays good D.
A little bit raw, but could be really good in 2-3 years after he adds some muscle to his frame.

I am with you with this one. He just need to put some weight and he will be a lot better.

Well, Pistons are going to bring him in for a workout on Wednesday. I have a feeling he will be our pick.

I'm hopin for Inglis. Might as well take the guy with the most upside. I have a feeling he ends up with the Spurs...
