This board trashed Kevin Love in the 2008 draft in the exact same fashion. Too slow. Too white. Won't be able to finish around the rim or guard anybody. I like the fact that McDermott has skill.

McLemore would interest me. Wonder what the proposed deal is.

Could Dunleavy and Cousins be teammates? That might not be wise.

Dunleavy on the Kings would be the best. DeMarcus would either kill him in practice or they would become best friends for life.

Exactly...
I don't understand why Taj's name keeps getting mentioned in this thread. The King's probably want full rights to their pick back now that Gay opted in.

I hate to be on this 'I told you so' board tour but I kinda knew and stated this awhile ago. Which is why I never scouted players this year. This team doesn't need more kids and definitely not two more middle tier picks. Thibs has been getting exposed the last couple of seasons in the off's, I highly doubt he wants to teach more youth.

Yup, this has to be the deal imo.

Except Love graded out in the "athleticism" stats in college. He was a BEAST at rebounding and nearly put up 2 blocks per 40 & 1 steal per 40 while shooting over .600 from 2pt land.

16 & Kings pick back for 8 could work

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

Embiid could go as high as No. 3, but could certainly drop to the second half of the top-10.

It's possible, but it just seems like a Boston or Lakers type move to take a punt on Embiid at 6 or 7 given they're throwing around their draft pick in trade rumours.

Friedell was just on 1000 and said the Bulls are indeed very high on McDermott.

Totally agree.

Embiid was the prized guy. Its a risk to take him at 1 given the stakes, but when you're a prized franchise like Boston and LA who already have the runs on the board and know they can bounce back quickly, as they have done so before, they will be risk averse, or more so than most.

Embiid to Boston makes a ton of sense. It would be a typical Ainge 'ballsy' move.

I see McDermott as a Channing Frye type. Can spread you out but with the right matchup, can take advantage inside. Not much defensively.

But McDermott's rebounding is intriguing to me. If that translates, then that's a whole different story.
Kris Bryant will go down as the greatest Chicago athlete after MJ

If they're looking to really go the white shooter route, would much rather have Stauskas
