Regarding Lebron-to-Phoenix: I'm not saying I want or even hope he signs here. I agree with the fans that winning with him would feel somewhat tainted. Of course, I do want to see the Suns win a title sometime in my lifetime and it's hard to be picky on how that happens (especially when you consider how we've been screwed in the past).

Ultimately, I stand by my motto of In McDonough (and Hornacek) We Trust. If McDonough and Hornacek sit down and determine LeBron would be a smart addition to this team, then I trust in that decision and won't question it. Until they prove untrustworthy in their decision making, I will fully back any moves they make.

We (the FO) cant talk to other teams FA's until after the July Moratorium, but we CAN talk to our own players agents, who might happen to also be other teams FA's agents.

I really don't see any other team have as strong for him to sign.

I doubt he will come to Phoenix, but really, he'd be stupid not to.

You mean from July 1st to July 10th? Unless this has changed, we can. Every year there are teams flying people in on June 30th at midnight to get that discussion in.

A lot of talk and offers are made during that time (well at least in the past, including last year).

If you can get the best player on the planet - who probably can still be a top player for the life of this contract - I think it has to be discussed.

And if its true James and Bledsoe want to play together - Phoenix does seem to have the best odds because of Bledsoe and his RFA status.

Well, the Bulls. They'd be instant massive favorites in the east. Even without Rose, but with Rose, I can't imagine another eastern team being close. I doubt they'd prefer Melo.

I think an interesting decision will be the one this Thursday with pick 27. Granted, the Suns might package it to move up. They could draft a Capela and stash it.

But, if they trade it for a future first rounder - that is just more "parts" for a trade. Another future first rounder. Granted, it may not be a high first rounder - but anything to sweeten the pot or also, allows the Suns to have two first rounders in a given draft - easier to trade one knowing you still have one.

I think - if reports are true James and Bledsoe would like to play together - Ryan McD trades the 27 for a future first rounder that can be tied to a trade after July 1

Here are all the teams that should go after LeBron. Make sure you read the last one.

This Bledsoe thing is getting out of hand. Know who else LeBron is friends with? Chris Paul. Do you think LeBron would rather usher in the new era for the Clippers (if that will remain their name) and play under Doc, alongside CP3, Griffin and DeAndre or come to Phoenix, a team that failed to make the playoffs last season and has an owner that does not want to be in the luxury tax? I love the LeBron to Phoenix dream but it realistically does not make sense.

Taj Gibson, Butler and maybe Snell with an expiring like Boozer for Lebron - Heat probably do something like that

LeBron has to want to play on a team with a power player (pf or center) as well. I would think that if Cleveland can land Kevin Love, they have a huge chance of landing LeBron. They can get Love by giving up the #1 pick. So, if you are Cleveland and you can trade Wiggins for Love and LeBron, its a no brainer.

On the flip side, if the Suns can land Love, we should have a good chance at landing LeBron--especially if we do not have to give up Goran or Bledsoe. So, trade the Morri AND 5 or 6 first rounders. It would be worth it.

For Minny, it wouldn't be about the players, it would be the picks.

I agree. AND Melo. I mean I wouldn't throw it out completely but for people saying they are BFF and everything and that he would come just because they are friends can get a bit absurd.

I still wouldn't count out LeBron and Melo to the Lakers either.

Or they can just amnesty Boozer and sign him.

Makes more sense than LAC. The Clippers are already way over the cap and dont have the money to pay Lebron. They also would have to try to dump DeAndre for straight salary relief just to be even close to signing Lebron (and Lebron would still have to take a discount). Good luck on finding a team under the cap willing to take Jordan on without sending any money back.

CP3 - $20,068,563
BG - $17,632,688
DJ - $11,440,123

That just $48M just in 3 players without Lebron! They are sitting at $73M with just 9 players under contract for next season.

If the Rockets move Lin and Asik I could see them being the favorites.

Lol, exactly. It's sorta like when your a teenager and it's your 18th birthday. Your parents give u key to a new car. You run outside to see (having dreams of a brand new mustang or camaro) only to have your dreams blown up after you see the 1989 Chevy cavailier sitting there.

That's what all this hoping for lebron is making me think of.
