Well i surely hope he doesnt get banned, but i wouldnt be shocked or surprised if he did.

And LOL at the "people have turned on him", he earns millons a month, he is an idol at his home country, the fans of his club also love him. Why in hell would he care about what others think?

No it's not. Punishment doesn't give back the opportunity of classification to Italy, doesn't help Suarez to redeem himself, doesn't have the WC to have better matches, doesn't make Suárez more poor or rich, only causes Uruguayan fans frustration and makes the WC worse to watch.

He should get a huge fine, though. What happenned, happenned. Move on.

So, basically what you're saying is that FIFA should condone this type of behavior just because he's a great player, but when a lesser player does it, you'd be OK with a ban?

**** no.

last i've checked they still won more than germany lol.

Germany 3 WC, 3 EC
Italy 4 WC, 1 EC

WC trumps EC.

I'm not pro post game punishment at all. Just fine the **** out of them. Football shouldn't be decided on courthouses.

you do something wrong, you get punished period, no matter your stature. unless you want him to continue to bite, kick, testicle twist other players willy nilly, you give him the harshest punishment possible. if he was so important to his team, he should've known better.

How many games did Pepe get for headbutting Muller? Other than the automatic one game ban for red card.

I think FIFA will go with the whole "there isn't much evidence to indicate a bite" and not do anything. They will say that the referee had no evidence on the field and just take the easy way out.

Yeah, a slap on the wrist for a third-strike offender (four if you count the headbutt- reports of that particular shady incident have conveniently gone missing) is perfectly appropriate.

I get that he's probably Uruguay's only hope of going deep in this competition, but that shouldn't excuse him from paying the consequences of his actions. This isn't about fans or the country he comes from, it's a disciplinary issue. At least the bite when playing for LFC was in the last minutes of a game they were desperate to win against Chelsea. This was in a game where they were already 1 goal up and he bit a guy whose back was turned to him. That's disgusting, and there's no room in the sport for it.

This has to be the reaction of the tournament...During Uruguay's game when Suarez went to score this is how Roy reacted...Major laughs

When someone goes bat **** crazy and does something that doesn't belong in the sport itself, that's exactly what should happen. He basically defied the 'football law(s)' and as such should be sanctioned by the FIFA.

Sanction him in a manner that would (even) ensure someone like Suarez thinking twice before doing it again.

Fifa should ban him, i say it as uruguayan.
But they should also ban every flopper, if we are going to punish things the ref didnt see, lets do it with everything.
