Melo should sign with the Clippers

Post#1 » by kxa007 » Mon Jun 23, 2014 7:15 pm

I am not familiar with the Clippers cap situation but Melo best situation is to sign with the Clippers, not the Bulls.

Play with 1 of his best friend that made a toast to play together, Billionaire New Owner, Acting Career for Lala. Only gets Booed once a year in NYC for leaving their team.

What does the Clippers have to do to fit Melo into the Cap if he wants to sign?

i would love to have Melo unlike some of my fellow Clipper fans but he seems like he will cost too much.

People think that because Miami made a big 3 with Lebron, Wade & Bosh that other teams can add a 3rd superstar easily. Realistically to get a big 3, they need to sign for less money which really only happens if they are signing at the same time. I'm not saying CP3 and Blake are overpaid but with their salaries we simply cannot sign Melo or Lebron and have a decent roster.

Won't happen. I'm a big melo fan but we would have to gut the roster.

I wouldn't mind adding Melo for more offense, however I don't want to do a sign and trade for him. We don't have a lot of cap space (if we even have any at all) and I doubt he would take the minimum to sign with us. Let him enjoy free agency and choose the best team for himself.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

There's absolutely no plausible Melo to Clippers scenario, since the Clippers would never trade BG or CP3 for Melo.

Not even for free.

Carmelo belongs in NY.
NY deserves Carmelo.

I'd prefer Lebron over Mr Blackhole.

would rather have Melo blackhole at the 3 than Crawford blackhole at the back up 2/ inevitably starting some games due to injury every year.

I don't see either of them being realistically possible. I'd be shocked if either ended up w us

Unless he really wants to come here, takes a paycut, and NY somehow prefers to get several of our mis level salaries (along with Bullock and our pick) than to watch him walk, I don't see how this makes sense. Even then, it doesn't make that much sense for us, we are already the best offensive team in the league, what we need is a way to get consistent stops to be taken seriously, I don't see how Melo helps with that.
