Hehe, I don't think Adam minds.

I wonder if Greek people understand why they have such a negative reputation with football fans worldwide...

I do think that reputation is a bit overstated, since there's plenty of other teams who are heavily defensive-minded. But I have to say I haven't enjoyed watching Greece since they beat those Portugese pricks in '04 (in Portugal) :)

Greeks everywhere went berserk over the win over Ivory Coast, to the surprise of no one:

I love how many posters here always use the "you don't even watch soccer" argument when they have nothing else to add in a discussion

Greece deserved to advance and that penalty was the right call IMO.

That's a baseless assumption.

following a national team during only big tournaments is the absolute definition of a casual fan.

I follow other sports more and view them in a higher pedestal so sue me that I don't follow a club outside of maybe the Red Bull(Even then I can't say I am a diehard).

Not sure if you read anything else I said in regards to this but I did watch plenty of World Cup qualifiers. Its not like I just tune in to watch the US and that's it.

Congrats to the Greeks.
I love how they always overachieve, shows passion for the national team, same as in basketball. Nice to see them qualify and now against Costa Rica is not impossible.

Absolutely. Messi, Neymar and Robben have been great and are the big names so they get the attention but every time Rodriguez touches the ball magic happens. Scored or assisted 7 goals in 2 and a half games.

This was just filthy and his performance yesterday is being forgotten in all the Suarez and Greece/CIV controversies. I said before the tourney that Colombia would go far because of his ability to set guys up and score and that he would make himself a household name. Looks like everything so far is happening and hopefully it continues

Rodriguez is up there with Messi imo. Messi is less mistake-prone but James' been more active on matches.

Rodriguez just makes me so sad Reus is hurt. Gotze's a great player but with Ozil and Mueller alongside him Reus is a much better fit, and a better player for now. That ability to go direct and fly past anyone while making amazing passes and shots at full speed would make me feel a lot better about being able to shoot our way past the issues Jogi's (Please Use More Appropriate Word) backline and pressing schemes create.
