Clearly New York and Brooklyn don't have the cap space. Missing from the list: Atlanta, LAL and LAC.

I believe it. I think if he stays east and leaves Miami its to Cleveland. Makes the most sense.

CB said the Knicks because there is a scenario where LBJ/Melo sign with the Knicks after the knicks completely gut their team. Its like .0000000000001%

I think the most logical landing places for him IN ORDER

Miami
Cleveland
Clippers/Houston

Good luck to the Knicks in finding someone to take Amare's contract. They have no draft picks or valuable young players that could entice a team so they are stuck with Amare for another year.

Cleveland doesn't make much sense unless they were able to flip the first pick for Kevin Love or another superstar. Lebron wants to win now and that Cleveland roster is not winning now, even with the help of Lebron and Wiggins or Parker.

PG: Irving/Jack
SG: Wiggins/Waiters
SF:Lebron
PF: Tristan Thompson/Bennett
C: Varejao/Zeller

That team is going nowhere fast. I'm sure they would add a piece or two which would make them a bit better, but they wouldn't be true contenders either way.

Which is why I said he would stay in Miami. I just dont see any other real viable option for him. If he leaves, I think it would be to go home.

Why go west and beat himself up so thats why I think LAC and HOU are long shots.

I really dont see any other team he fits with in the East outside of Miami (that he would go to).

I agree with this for the most part. Miami doesn't look all that great to me if I am Lebron and Wade is making around 15 million per year though. Going to the Finals for 4 years straight takes a big toll on your body and that whole team has to be tired. He may be better served going to a team that hasn't been through so much and has fresher legs.

Even if the big 3 sign for only 50 million total (Bron 20, Bosh 15, Wade 15), which I think is being generous, they won't have much cap left to sign free agents. Haslem will make 4.6 million next year so you have 55 million tied up in 4 players and only 8 million left before you hit the cap.

I would say we are easily a better option than that, but I know it's not as easy as just looking better on paper. Either way, we have plenty of chances to gain from their decision, whether he comes here or not, and it will be interesting watching it play out.

I like our chances to cause a ruckus in the East next season as long as Melo or Bron doesn't end up with the Bulls and the Heat have around the same talent they finished the year with.

If LBJ or Melo were smart, I think they would give the Hawks SERIOUS consideration. We have the role players already, we need the superstars.

But for reasons we have already hashed out, i dont think either of their agents view us as "legitimate".

I did see a quote from Lebron, from December, where he was asked about Budenholzer and he responded with something along the lines of: "He's bringing the Spurs system and culture to the East and that is not good for every one else in the East"

So he at least has some respect and recognition of Coach Bud. At the same time, it could just be a generic answer, who knows.

"First of all I give a lot of credit to that Atlanta Hawks team... much improved, you know, and that coach got them playing great basketball, sharing the ball - you know, he come from that San Antonio system so we knew that we had to work for this one and they made us work for 53 minutes."

Pretty solid praise

He certainly looked impressed. That's the game where the refs took the win right out from under us in the 4th quarter with bad call after bad call.

I would love it if Ferry and Bud could get a sit down meeting with him and explain the situation. Ferry could be like "I was never able to give you the pieces you needed in Cleveland...but the pieces are already in place here."

I wouldn't want lebron to come to atlanta. We would turn into the biggest bandwagon team in the league. I mean could you go to the games and cheer for the same team as all of the idiotic fake fans

I'll take fake fans and a deep run over not making a deep run. I'd prefer to have my cake (a deep playoff run) and eat it too (a large set of "real" fans), but let's face it: 1) any time you put a championship contender on the floor you'll get bandwagon fans and 2) we don't have a large enough set of real fans to crowd out the fake fans from getting seats. I say let's see if we can pick up a ring (or 5) then see if we can turn some fake fans into real fans - even if it takes a generation - so that we can crowd them out on the next run.

I actually hope that if it happens, Ferry will said that it tried to get the best players he could get, but that the BIG mistake was to change lots of players without sending Mike Brown out.
If CLE had been coached by Pop, no doubt they would have won it one or two times. And I bet LeBron knows it now.

In ATL, owners never wanted to spend more money for a better coach, but in CLE, they had all the money to get any coach.
