Check out the 'James Young Thread'. It's not at 0% anymore, more like 17% like our lottery odds were. There's hope for us on the Young bandwagon after all

I really like that kid. Now that would be an intriguing draft pick!

(Meanwhile, I can finally use the word "kid" for draft prospects. Payton himself actually is a bit older than me but one of the lotto guys was exactly a year younger, don't remember exactly who. I always had wanted to use that phrase. Makes you sound like a hopeful father figure that has confidence in the young guy)

It would be intriguing retrospect to draft another player that can't shoot that remind many of the player that Charlotte traded away at the deadline for Gary Neal/Luke Ridnour but with more defensive potential

I like him as well, but we would have to do something with either him or Walker, as MrKnowitall said if we take him.

And our fan base is too attached to Walker. It would be a public relations nightmare.

He's so much bigger than Sesh though. Now that you mention it, I can make the connection but otherwise I wouldn't have thought of it. I just love how he gets after his defensive assignment like a mad dog. Gary Payton is probably my favorite point guard ever so naturally I like the GP side to Elfrid Payton.

As for your question which I didn't answer on what should we do with our pick, that is pretty much the deal. I like Elfrid Payton and Zach LaVine. But that's strictly BPA and not considering our roster. I guess Stauskas is the way to go, though I could be a bit more excited about him than I actually am.

I don't know if Aaron Gordon fits in this discussion since I thought he was more of a top8 sure shot than he seemingly is (I have seen him bouncing out of some mock draft top10's) but if he falls that far I guess I would like the selection of him as well. Of course, once again, he doesn't really fit our roster.

Elfrid Payton is the 'exact' same size as Ramon Sessions was entering the draft years ago. It's just that the small school translation has become a bigger hit/trend since Damian Lillard is the latest 'it' boy at the position

ehh.. Payton is listed only an inch taller than Sesh. Somehow he seemed bigger to my eyes (and Sessions smaller, I would have never called him 6'3 tall) when watching him on the court.

Sessions wishes he had the play making and defensive tenacity of Payton. Payton also has 4 inches on him in the wingspan department

I haven't heard anything about us liking this kid. Has anyone else?

Outside of the workout in which Clifford stated in a interview that LaVine can get his shot off against anyone, no

BroD irrationally hates on 2014 prospects

Oh god, not this pencil thin bust in waiting. This guy's whole body makes Steph Curry's ankles look hardy and robust. Did this guy do anything at UCLA besides be outplayed by Steve Alford's scrubby son? He looks like he has the basketball IQ of Rich Cho's computer.

I'd take him at #24 - or if we could move up around #15 without having to give too much up (like #24 and Neal or something).

Agreed. Would love him as our second pick.

Not at 9 unless something crazy happens.

As a LaVine enthusiast, I hated the Timberwolves as a landing spot for him
