I checked all the trios in lineup finder and it was proven that among a 500 mp Drummond, Monroe and smith was our worst trio and it gave up 7.6 pts per 100 possessions

I came here to do two things: get lost and slice **** up & I'm all out of directions.

He was put in a bad situation where we didn't have much outside scoring last year, and a lot of the season he was in the wrong position. If we do move Monroe in a sign/trade, and Smith is our starting PF with SVG as our coach and a couple of new, solid outside shooting wings, I think most of us will have a much better opinion of Smith.

I guess I don't share this attitude.

I'll grant he was in a bad situation but he also responded to it HORRIBLY, both from a basketball perspective and a personal perspective.

He was reckless and uncompromising on offense and lackadaisical in the best of times on defense. Add to that he was cantankerous and confrontational when he didn't get his own way.

OFT

Smith has talent, but last season showed how bad he really is on the BBIQ side of things.

With the coaches we had last season, everyone played horribly inconsistent except for Dre. I believe SVG will turn this ship around. I wouldn't mind seeing the trio again next season if there's no trades.

Monroe Drummond was a worst (by not significant difference to be fair) duo than Smith and Drummond, but especially on defense.

We never get the real story until well after the fact so I'm not going to be upset about the "trade" not happening.

For all we know SVG simply asked what it would take to get their pick...they wanted Smith...which meant we had to take back bad contracts...so SVG pulled out.

Smith was/is a borderline All Star...he's been to the playoffs quite a bit...let's not throw him under the bus because our organization was a train wreck last season.

Lame duck GM, mental midgets as head coach...and we trash the players for it?

Time will tell if the players were/are really that bad

It sounds like to me from reading the Stein article on the Smith situation the Pistons possibly wanted Thompson, and Williams for Smith. The Kings then countered with Thompson, and one or both Terry and Landry. That might be why the talks died.

I was excited for this trade like everyone else but after thinking about it, we would've traded almost the same years and money for lesser parts. We have two PF's that are starting quality, SVG needs to figure out Monroe before he dumps Smith. It only takes one to offer Monroe a max contract then things could change.

Yeah that's not true. Firstly im assuming you're saying 76 per 100, because its definitely not 7.6, and even 76 is insanely low, average for teams is about 95 or so. Try that one again.
