OT- Arron Afflalo back to Denver for Peanuts

Post#1 » by princeofpalace » Thu Jun 26, 2014 3:39 pm

Afflalo is going back to Denver for Fournier and #56. AA was the exact type of player that we needed. I can't believe that we couldn't have topped that offer with Singler and # 38.

Phenomenal move for Denver though. But seriously though, I hope SVG is wheeling and dealing because there are definitely deals to be had out there.

Yeah that one stings. Afflalo is exactly the kind of player we needed and Stan should have been all over that if the Magic were giving him away so cheap. I seriously thought it would take a first rounder to get the guy.

Didn't the the Pistons trade afflalo for a pick which ended up to be Vernon Mackin. That's bigger peanuts than fournier

If Afflalo was available at that price one wonders why the Bulls didnt go for him either

Maybe Orlando was obsessed with Fournier

Either way very disappointing nonmove for SVG

Who knows maybe SVG views KCP as a starter

Hey guys, remember that one time when we gave away AA for literally nothing since Rodney "Dwyane literally Wade" Stuckey was our guard of the future and totally better than Harden?

Dumars just keeps on giving. I can't even.

Wow. I would have loved to get in on this. I guess the Pistons want to see what they have in KCP, like Singler and are hot for a targeted player at #38. Also isn't AA going into the last year of his contract? Maybe that was a factor in Stan's thinking as well.

This one hurts though.

He will have a player option for after the 14/15 season. It's widely believed he will turn it down, which certainly factored into his trade value. While Detroit controls KCP's next 3 seasons at least at 1/4 the cost.

Yeah no way you give up KCP for him but I gladly would have gave up 38 and Datome or something for him.

I know svg isn't sleeping at the wheel, maybe teams just don't like trading with us? This was a no brainer move to offer something up

Teams love trading with us.. Billups and Mcdyess for Iverson. Ben Gordon and 2014 1st rounder for Correy. Middleton and Knight for Jennings. Afflalo for Vernon Macklin.

Fournier is not that bad a player but I expected much more for Afflalo.

I think Singler and #38 is what would have been a comparable offer from us. Just gotta have faith in Stan I guess and hope he has bigger plans for #38 or didn't want to deal himself completely out of this draft.

We could use him in awaiting of the maturing of KCP,
even for one year....
Is KCP ready for starting at SG, i don't know yet......

We coulda traded junk and 7 2nd's to get Afflalo and Dunleavy in a 3-way. We woulda kept Singler too.

LOL...maybe Fournier is good though. Denver fans jocked him some, although you can't trust homerism. I know he can shoot, but so can Datome and Daye and _____.

Interesting if Orlando consolidates some young assets in a trade for more salary now.
If I were Orlando, I would only keep Oladipo, 4th, and 12th. Harris? Vucevic? Harkless? that's value...

If they are doing this for salary, they might be buying out Jameer. And he might be coming to Detroit. That could be the silver lining.
