This is a typical Magic move. Lots of hype, people get their hopes up, and boom either nothing happens or we make a deal like afflalo for fornier.

To me, trimming off all that money just screams that we're making another deal. Perhaps the Cavs wanted capspace more than Afflalo and wants to send us Jack and another player. Or maybe we're still talking to the Bulls, or one of the other teams going after Melo or Lebron.

God, Magic rumors are always much better than what really happens. I just hope by the end of the night Exum will on our roster.

I hear that we could also be players in RFA with the cap space we now have also........buckle in. Should be good. Also for everyone in the organizations jobs sake, Im not sure how much our front office is trying to regress this groups progress. I don't see us trying to go backwards in our tank efforts.

@mySynergySports In limited minutes the 20th pick in the 2012 draft 20 year old Evan Fournier ranked as the 43rd most efficient scorer

possesses ideal physical attributes for a NBA wing at 6-7 with a strong frame, and has the ability to create his own shot very effectively thanks to his excellent size, strength, and ball-handling skills. Despite his height, he's able to get very low with his dribble, showing terrific footwork and body control driving into the lane, often using crafty change of speed moves, spins and hesitations.

Patient and mature with his drives, he reads the secondary line of defense extremely well, frequently making intelligent passes off the dribble to cutting teammates as help-side defenders rotate towards him.

Fournier is capable of playing above the rim, even if he doesn't always feel compelled to, as he finishes extremely well around the basket, converting 63% of his attempts around the rim on the season according to Synergy Sports Technology, and a very efficient 55% of his 2-pointers overall.

you left this out

Defensively, Fournier has the ability to be very effective when he's dialed in and using his excellent size and anticipation skills to his advantage. Unfortunately, he's very inconsistent in his effort, looking quick to relax in his stance and not doing a great job bending his knees and being physical fighting through screens. This, coupled with his short (6-7 ½) wingspan and average lateral quickness, makes him fairly ineffective trying to stay in front of quicker guards on the perimeter, which is somewhat of a concern looking to the NBA.

I think he's more of a 2 but could probably play some 1. Actually it would be pretty interesting if we draft Exum, then we would have 3 guys that can play either guard positions and can handle the ball quite well.

Now who the hell are we drafting at #12?? Most of the BPA's are guards who can shoot.

Man I really hope we get Exum tonight.

I do like Fornier though, a lot actually. It's just that his perceived value around the league isn't equal to Afflalo. He's the type of guy you throw into a deal, not a guy that a deal is centered around.
