That's his motto, but who really knows who he consider BPA. He could easily believe that Harris' shooting ability make him a better prospect than Smart

Fire Clifford, hire McHale.

Change mascot name to McHugo.

Roy Williams recruited Smart heavily. He knew that Marcus was a special player, and he is. I'd love for him to have a better shot as well, but you can't pass on someone like him with the 9th pick. He'd be the steal of the draft that late in the lottery.

Smart can play SG just fine in the NBA, he did a great job vs possible #1 pick Andrew Wiggins

I think Smart would be a great 6th man for us. Could play either guard spot. I don't know that he is a full time 2 though.

His position in the NBA will be as a PG. Sure he can play SG, but hes much better as a lead guard.

I think he is with the right guard next to him. Kemba would need to sacrifice his game a bit, and even Smart, to make that backcourt work.

I am still back and forth at 9 but DEFINITELY narrowed down to 3 unless Wiggins or Exum falls but DOUBT THAT.

I think he's much better off as a 1. Kemba and him could work together, but the lack of shooting is concerning.

Smart is probably the BPA, bit I don't know if he's so much better than the next guy to make it worth the poor fit.

I have this mental image of Wiggins falling to the Bobcats the way Pierce fell to Boston years ago. Probably not going to happen, but it's a fun thought.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

No way on Earth you could watch Marcus Smart and think he's a legit point guard. His ball handling ability is average, court vision is average, and etc.

The guy is just a hell of a competitor and leader. He stacks up better at the shooting guard position than point guard. Any team that make Smart their point guard without having a LeBron James/Kevin Durant caliber talent on their roster will be in for a rude awakening, and won't make the playoffs for years a la Rodney Stuckey. I think Stuckey could've been a better player in the NBA, but the Pistons wasted too many years of his progress on trying to make him a point guard instead of a shooting guard

Randle is the only one of those 3 that wouldn't have me irate.

Payne at 24 would be great. At 9 would be a fireable offense.

I've often imagined this is what Wade would look like if he ever tried to jump rope.

I'm definitely on board with Smart at 9, could definitely see him falling. I think he'd be a steal at 9 too.

MKG was a better prospect (and still is) than Gordon coming out of college. If we pick him and don't trade MKG for an all-star or another top 7 pick then Cho has officially lost his mind.

Per RealGM Administrator dream34 on the Feedback and Suggestions board

Just for draft night, we temporarily disabled a few features (team icons, search, who's online, etc.) to keep the server load down. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes, but we want to be sure that the extra traffic tonight doesn't cause any issues.

In the past, we had disabled signatures and avatars as well, but I'm going to keep them enabled this time around.
