I agree. It really is too simple, but we have seen how stupid GMs have been in the past (look at the drafting of Fran over Granger for example).

I think there is a second move coming after the Afflalo deal. The deal creates more capspace/flexibility.

I like Evan Fournier and do feel he will be a nice swingman for this team. He also played some point guard last year in Denver.

Getting the 56th pick makes the second round interesting.

In the end, I think Fournier is going to be a good pick but you wonder two things.

1) Is this the best deal they could have gotten for Afflalo?

2) If they liked him so much, why not take him over Andrew Nicholson in 2012?

Exactly, this seems like deal you could have had anytime, why draft day? Why add another 21-year old the day you're adding two? Afflalo was playing very well on a great contract, and was only 28? So why rush this deal hours before the draft? It has to be tied to something else. Key could be this might be rob's first ever cap-reducing move, so that might be its primary motivation. Is a big contract coming in that we needed some more space to absorb?

This one also might have been the one to help with capspace although as someone mentioned above, you have to wonder why #12 and #11 weren't swapped in the deal and you have to think one of those picks is being dealt to another team.

Very telling these interviews. I also loved Jabari's interview, and did not particularly liked that of Wiggins' and Smart's. Parker was correct on the questions that are related to NBA, which tells me he like basketball.

There isn't one player on the Heat that the Magic would want (Lebron currently isn't even on the Heat since he is a FA). That tells you a lot about them right now.
