Stauskas to Raps

I'd fap so much if this happened. One of my fave players in the draft.

Can someone shed some light on this....they played 1 on 1 years and years ago?

He averaged 6pts, 3rebs on 42% FG, 58% Ft, shot only .9 threes at sub 30% in nearly 26 MPG. His career is over, salmons is better.

Yeah we still need a backup wing player even with Prince here. He's not an upgrade over Salmons. Like I said before I'm not really seeing Masai's plan here.

...you aren't seeing his play? I thought it was obvious: Get another first round pick.

Get it now?

don't be surprise if we pick Inglis with 22, DX now has him going at 29, meaning he won't be there at 37 (DX has us picking Spencer Dinwiddie)

you shouldn't need to trade/draft in order to counter a aging brooklyn anyways.

If MU do this its because he wants an extra pick. Taking back Prince's salary is not a bonus, but a detriment to the cap flexibility going into next year.

He's an expiring. We might even be able to trade him at the deadline?

I believe Stauskas is Lithuanian-Canadian. So he is showing him some love. Not a big deal.

Yet he started 76 games for a western playoff team. He's not an offensive weapon but he was starting because of his defence. Prince won't be the same player from the past but salmons is a lot more useless

He expires after the 2014-2015 season...no detriment to future flexibility.

i was really hoping we could do a perkins + 21st pick deal; but this will do great; it still addresses a need and brings in a draft pick for a rookie with solid potential;
now let's just hope our candidates are still there when we pick.

Get with the times, we aren't going to have 37th pick (unless Masai pulls of a miracle). Highly unlikely that Masai goes with two projects (Capela and Inglis) in the first round.

How is he a detriment to cap flexibility? We still own Lowry's Bird Rights and still would have enough to re-sign him, Patterson and Vasquez. Plus Prince is an expiring contract, it after the 14/15 season is when we'd look to sign a max free agent.

It looks like it's a done deal? Are they picking for us now or how is it going to work out?

Due the NBA rules regarding not being able to trade two consectuive first round picks, a team drafts a player for the other team in a trade so that they are free to trade their first round pick the next year. In this case, Memphis would pick for us at 22 and we would pick for them at 57 and we would swap players after the fact. This allows Memphis to trade their first rounder in 2015. If they made the trade in advance of the 2014 draft, the 2014 first rounder (22) would be considered a future pick and they wouldn't be able to trade their 2015 first rounder. It merely gives the team more flexibility in trading picks in the future.

I'm hoping for Capela and either Inglis or Ennis with the 22nd. We have a good point guard rotation now but if Ennis is the believed BPA than so shall it be. I personally think Capela and Inglis are better due to the potential they have. I would rather go for the home run...

Why are a lot of guys overlooking James Young and Kyle Anderson they're good options with the 22nd pick too. I think Young could probably be better than Inglis and he's in the same age group so it shouldn't really matter. Not to mention he's rated much higher on DX.

The player you get at 37 could easily be as good as the guy at 22. Don't like the trade unless it's for the 59.

The trade can be official literally as soon as the Grizz make the selection. They don't have to wait til pick 60 is made.

It wouldn't be announced until after the Raptors draft a player for Memphis at 37.

I would take Ennis with the first pick but I would fill our biggest hole with the second pick and take Inglis .

Memphis would be picking for us @ 22 while we pick for them @ 37 then essentially trade those players.

i meant this coming season. not next next. If we add Prince now it pretty much means we are not shooting for any conveyed free agents this offseason (as tiny the possibility might be)

we have an extra 7 million to play with if MU just waive Salmon if i understand his situation correctly.
