Lang Whitaker, formerly of Slam Magazine and one of my favorite basketball peeps. He's doing a live chat on NBA.com I think.

That would be my 2 favorite players (since Young/LaVine are Ying & Yang) for Charlotte. Indeed, that would be the most awesome scenario

I'm not a fan of Young at 9. But getting him at 24 would be great.

I'm still a firm fan of Young at #9. However, if Charlotte can land him at #24, that would be the ultimate steal of the draft. As much as I like McDermott, put him and Young on the Hornets, and the latter will be the better player in due time, but it'll benefit the Hornets' franchise history. That's just my opinion. I'm not trying to shoot your's down. I have a great feeling about Young's prospects

Yeah I get you. For me, he's a bit too raw for me to want him at 9. I think we can get a better player there. But Young will be a solid 2 way player. If we got him at 24 it would be a big steal.

I love Slam and I'm glad Lang has a good seat!

I'm sure he hopes Young makes it to Atlanta!

Scoop was always my favourite before he went to BSPN.

If Embiid somehow falls to us, I'll lose my mind because I won't know what I'll want us to do.

This. It would just be such a Bobcats pick. Terrible start to the "new era." #TeamLaVine

This is the LAST one. I just wanted to add Embied in there because they said his career isn't in that much jeopardy due to his injury. So if he falls to us will take him

9th pick

1. Embied -- the report says his injury isnt career ending so I would take him if hes there at 9.
2. Gordon
3. Payne
4. Randle
5. Mcbuckets -- came THIS CLOSE to choosing Mcbuckets but I am going to go with Gordon or Payne if gone.
6. Stauskas

24th pick

1. Hairston Hope our second pick
2. Payton
3. Hood
4. Harris
5. Young
6. Napier
7. Ennis
8. Stokes
9. Bogdanovic
10. GR3

45th pick

1. David MICHINEAU If we get Hairstn and Gordon/Payne then I want us to take him as PG
2. Jabari Brown
3. Alex Kirk
4. Xavier Thames
5. Vasillje Micic

CANDIDATES FOR 9TH PICK WHO DIDNT MAKE THE CUT

Embied
Lavine

CANDIDATES FOR 24TH PICK WHO DIDNT MAKE THE CUT

J Clarkson
Warren
Cla. Early
Kyle Anderson

CANDIDATES FOR 45TH PICK WHO DIDNT MAKE THE CUT

deandre kane ( neutral )
Roy Devyn Marble ( neutral )
K.J. McDaniels ( stock rising )
JORDAN ADAMS ( neutral )
CJ Fair ( stock rising )

I'm not making a comparison, but I remember myself thinking Tracy McGrady was a bit too raw during his first couple years in the league saying "I don't know if he'll ever be a star like they made him out to be in high school", but I always liked his alpha mentality. Next thing I knew, 3 years later he begun to shake that raw label off. I never doubted a player that has that type of mentality and approach again as long as they had the necessary skill sets. Young might bust like a bubble to a pin, but if he keep the right attitude and work ethic I just don't see how he won't be at least a career 15 points per game player if I'm giving him a floor
