Im sure this wasn't pre-planned. Philly knew that we wanted Payton and no one else so they took him and dangled him to us for an extra asset. They had power of position over us and they used it.

This exactly cant blame them, hope we just swapped 1st though

For this next current season. Seems this team is going to struggle to score... I still believe the Magic will get a star PG during free-agency when its all said and done.

But again, this draft for the Magic has been VERY solid.

I think Vuc, Dipo, Harris and The Fournicater can pick up the load. Only if Harris starts though.

And 1 for Evan's new nickname!

EXACTLY!

Rob believes Elfrid is our PG of the future! Giving up those picks is nothing when you believe Elfrid could be the next Gary Payton or Rondo. Hinkie is a smart dude and knew we would toss him some picks if he took our guy.

I'll say this, I'm looking forward to seeing a 1-4 combo of Payton-Oladipo-Harkless-Gordon all on the floor at the same time at some point next season. Passing lanes, steals and transition, oh my!

I wouldn't mind getting back in the first round and drafting Hood if the price is right

Stupid audio for the Magic Draft Stream went out and came back right as their interview with Aaron ended, that sucks! Oh well. On Twitter though he said that the Magic were number 1 on his list of where he wanted to go.

Missed the majority of the Gordon interview on Magic Drivetime but Gordon said this is where he wanted to end up.......Few more points in my book, Henny does likes players that want to be here.

We will have some ridiculous perimeter defense and will run teams out of the gym. Very glad we got Payton, and am starting to talk myself into Gordon. How does he shoot 42% FT though?!

Think of the Draft this way guys.

We just got two Oladipo like prospects at our two biggest positions of need, PG & PF.

Both Elfrid & Gordon are dominant defensively and are super athletic! All they need to do to be serious two way players in this league is develop their jump shots. Hmm, kind of like Hennigans mentor & Spurs GM RC Buford did with a super athletic defensive minded player that couldn't shoot, Kawhai Leonard.

I'm now in love with this draft.

I'm not disappointed, just not blown away. Speculation got my mind racing and it ended up being a rather pedestrian draft imo.

Henny must have loved Payton enough to pass on Exum.

Be nice when the picks involved are clarified but it looks Magic lose that Philly pick and maybe 2nds were swapped.

Can Gordon handle the ball?

So we get Fournier, Gordon and Payton. We give up Aaron who we know was taking valuable minutes away from our young guys. I'd say Rob hit it put of the park. Gordon is gonna be special. Him and Dipo are mirror images of one another at different positions. We need a scorer and this team will be special. Loving my team.

Looking at Gordons YT vids (YT I know) he has some Griffin in him from what I saw.
