Wasn't Gordon along with Parker and Wiggins on the draft intro? Probably means nothing but odd nonetheless.

We just got two Oladipo like prospects at our two biggest positions of need, PG & PF.

Both Elfrid & Gordon are dominant defensively and are super athletic! All they need to do to be serious two way players in this league is develop their jump shots. Hmm, kind of like Hennigans mentor & Spurs GM RC Buford did with a super athletic defensive minded player that couldn't shoot, Kawhai Leonard.

I'm now in love with this draft.

Can Gordon handle the ball?

Yeah he can, he's actually a pretty decent ballhandler

Gordon wants to be defensive player of the year. I like that.

This will be a top defensive team. We still need some scoring but I believe we can get it done. Do it Henny.

Looks like Gordon is pumped to be playing with Payton. He literally just learned of it while talking with the Orlando media.

Yeah Gordon can handle the ball really well and his offensive is more slashing and driving than actually doing post ups.

I am warming up to this draft. We didn't get the sexy pick we wanted but Gordon and Payton are two high upside guys who already play stellar D at positions we needed. I am excited to watch this team compete and grow together. I trust in Henny and trust the process.

Gordon and Payton were teammates in the FIBA U-19 last summer. They have a history.

Idunkonyou2 wrote:So far this draft has been great for the Magic. They got their future starting SF in Gordon, who can also play some PF in smaller lineups. They also got VO a running mate in Payton (it isn't Exum, but Payton was the 2nd guard that I wanted behind him). The AA trade was big time because they bring in a younger player with tremendous upside and at a fraction of the cost. The only thing that hasn't happened tonight that I thought would happen is the trading of Nelson for a pick and player. That may still happen though.

Pick and player for Nelson?

Hard to come up with a more miserable outcome for today. This has been an absolute disaster.

Gordon mentioned how the Magic will be a high paced running team and he and 'Dipo can toss lobs to eachother...

...yes please.
