What if we have a better prospect at #37 who is better than Caboclo (better without being notice as well)?

Masai panicked. Could've taken Shabazz and swapped with the Heat while squeezing something out of them.

Ken Berger ‏@KBergCBS 5m
I misspoke earlier. It is Ennis, not Napier, who the Raptors have been trying to acquire. At least it's not Bogdan Bogdanovic.

Some other teams must have scouted this guy. If San Antonio was one of the teams then I have no qualms and taking a chance at 20. Please don't compare Bruno to Hoffa. The 8th pick could have helped us that year.

RT @rafael_uehara: Those tweets by @vinteum21: he's heard Bruno is joining the Raptors right away. He is also represented by Adetokunbo's agent.

Source: Toronto looking to S&T Kyle Lowry to Miami for cash and future picks. Part II: Bosh opts out, returns to Toronto.

multiple draft host who actually works/worked in the NBA community have said so on live television. I guess that is more credible than someone random forum dweller who is questioning other's sources.

oh you mean like Mark Stein?

Except Hoffa went in the lottery. I don't know anything about this guy, nobody does. 5 ppg is very underwhelming, but let's not compare this to Hoffa. That was monumentally bad, a guy who doesn't even get into the league at 20 is worst case and nowhere as bad as the egg that Rob Babcock laid.

Sounds like we promised him 37 then found out someone else sniffing around and since we liked him so much decided to not risk it...

Really you all need to take the sticks out of your asses and quit acting like this is a disaster.

History of 20th pick is not pretty, the fact that we have a guy that no one knows about and is going to be at least a year away from NBA is not end of world. Masai has one of best scouting staffs in nba and a great track record, why not wait a day to find out some more before crying and bitching what a terrible pick this is.
wait..this dude doesn't even play well in his own league ? yeah we so have 4-5 years to wait on some tweener develop while we enter win now mode
This kid is 18 and plays against men. Be fair.

Also, the Raps don't have to sign him right away. Doesn't add money to the cap. So, they can do "win now".

Besides, it's not like anyone picked after him are going to be major difference makers anyways.

Reposting it here

There's a thread about this guy on Spurstalk.com

http://www.spurstalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=228529

Shares the same agent as the Greek Freak and Dennis Schroeder. TC says he has the tools to be a good defender with shot blocking being his best asset

And interesting info on that thread, (take it for what it's worth) he received a promise in the second round from an Eastern Conference team last week.

Turned out it was the Raptors. Guess Masai was afraid people would take him sooner

In Masai I trust.

Seems like a very intriguing prospect looks a bit awkward when moving but thats because he is long as **** lol

I am freaking excited about the pick. Masai, Weltman know international basketball and I have absolute faith in them. They are more connected and know how to scout talent and practically run Basketball without Border. Watch Caboclo shock the NBA.
