Welcome Spencer Dinwiddie

The newest piston. The first big point from Colorado since Mr. Big Shot. Drop your most homer predictions here.

I'll go first.

Ginoooooobli!

I can see him being that Ginobilli/Harden type game where he does a lot of ball handling duties and passes well. Also shooting it well too.

Hopefully his IQ can rub off on Smiss and Jennings.

I mean I doubt he ends up a star player, but it still would be pretty cool :D

This is a guy I always wanted us to draft. He could be a very solid player for us.

With him and KCP we could have the quietest back court.

Spencer is cool with talking, I recall him giving a pretty good interview at the draft.

One other quick stat in a tweet:

Spencer Dinwiddie's .91 free throws per field goal attempt is scary good. No guard topped .80 in last 10 draft classes

There will be a huge burden on Detroit's guards next season. The youth infusion, and well...the just the fact that Brandon Jennings is still here also. Van Gundy will probably have no voice by January.

He reminds me of Micheal Redd. I like the pick a lot. I hope we grab La Quinton Ross as well think he could help at SF.

Must be something in the water in Colorado as Chauncey had a knack for drawing fouls too.

Though I caution to take anything from that because FTAs are one of the more misleading college stats, as its really hard to say if the biased NBA refs are going to gives guys the same whistle.

You really don't know which players are going to get calls in the NBA until they actually play.

Dinwiddie plays into contact intentionally, which should lead to calls eventually.

Hey, that rhymes 'n stuff.

Kinda moves like Derozan. With a better shot. I don't know about his defense

You would think, but Stuckey and Bynum attack the basket non-stop all game and neither get a ton of calls.

Then you have guys like Corey Maggette who take two dribbles on the perimeter and whistles start blowing lol

Its just an unpredictable system the NBA has when it comes to fouls. You never really know which players are going to get calls until they actually get calls. And even then you don't know why they are getting calls, because they aren't doing anything different than the rest of the players on the court lol.

NBA FTs are such a wacky system.

I dislike Jennings so much I would totally be willing to throw Dinwiddie right into the fire. It's time to build for the future and Jennings isn't part of that future.

I'm still hoping Jennings turns it around and plays more like Jameer. Spencer can be our 6th man in the mean time. Now it's time to move Smoove for a guy like Green.

Regardless, probably way too much optimism for #38
