Adam, can you repost the phone interviews? I saw them on my phone, but they are buried pretty deep once I came home. Also, don't see them on your website.

"Aaron Gordon will cost Henny's job by Dec 2016." Predicted Dec 2014.
"O'Quinn will have a longer and more successful NBA career than Nicholson." Predicted Jun 2012. Verified on Dec 2014.

Seriously??? This is absolutely stupid how many risks did the Spurs take?? You win by getting players that can play and play together well. Henny has taken risks. He traded Dwight for a bunch of picks that everyone thought would be late rounders one turned out to be a lottery in the most stocked draft ever. Are u saying trading JJ for Tobias wasnt a risk? How about taking Vuc and Harkless over Bynum who was coming off a very good year. You are only saying he doesnt take risks because he didnt take some overhyped over publicized Australian player. Hell last year he made the only pick in the top 8 that is actually looking like an allstar player give me a **** break this board is raving mad.
Relax man, it has been a long day.
I am not necessarily saying I don't like the picks. I do not think Henny took single risk so far. He made moves that were not perceived well initially, but that has nothing to do with taking risks. I am pretty sure he knew exactly what he was getting.
My opinion is based on his 3 year draft history, not just this years. There is a trend here. Dipo was as sure of a thing as possible last year and we knew exactly what we are getting. Same is true for Nicholson and Gordon, too.

"Aaron Gordon will cost Henny's job by Dec 2016." Predicted Dec 2014.

This draft is too much hype. Maybe we all overrate these players.
I bet both Gordon and Payton will make the all-rookie first team
but it's Parker who will win rookie of the year award.
My predition for 2014-15 all-rookie first team:
Parker / Wiggins / Gordon / Randle / Payton

Excellent question by one reporter dont know who it was on the versatillity on defense of Payton and Gordon who can defend many different positions. I think that was a great point about the system Vaughn is trying to run for better of for worse with his defensive schemes that involve a lot of switching and that versatility fits very well
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

Re: Official Draft Thread 3: Picks #4 and #12
To be fair, trading JJ for Harris wasn't a risk. Henny had scouted Harris already and Harris had been putting up consistent numbers around 17 and 8 for like 4 years at that point. Vuc and Harkless over Bynum would have been obvious to us if we had the medical records that Henny saw. Not saying they weren't good moves, but they weren't the work of a savant. He's proven nothing yet either, we've been terrible for two years and probably going on a 3rd. I can't view anything he's done as a great move because we suck and nothing has come of anything Henny has done. We have to win something.

I think you are right about Gordon not sure about Payton i think Smart will get a lot of attention in Boston and i expect him to play very well and i think he will take that PG spot

Its annoying as hell we have been given a gift in Henny who knows what he has doing and has made all the right moves he doesnt deserve for u people to go and say his moves suck and he is an idiot. We have had an idiot GM and thank god he is gone. I have held my tongue all day but i am done doing it now.

ROY fav is exum imo, he's going to be getting the best statlines
On the other hand he plays for utah
Wiggins and Jabari have the hype
Smart and Randle play for boston and LA
Its gotta be one of those 5

Truth24 wrote:Aaron Gordon is a really great defender but he isn't the best post defender out there and I think he will struggle to defend the post in the NBA. He got knocked around sometimes in college last year defending the post, but he does excel guarding the wing and I think that's where he makes his mark next season.
This is why I see him as a three, with Harris playing stretch 4. Harris has the frame to bang down low. Gordon has the lateral quickness to play on the perimeter. We won't have a rim protector, but if we lock down all the guard and wing positions (which potentially we can do) we won't need one, at least for a while.

It's more likely we trade Nelson than Celtics trade Rondo. That's why I give Payton the edge.

Well, I never said he is an idiot, but its equally annoying when people have no strong feelings and just defer to what hennigan does and convince themselves that was the best move. Make up your own mind about a player. Hennigan isn't a god, he isn't always right you know

Ok well we were winning under Otis so lets just fire henny and hire him back maybe he can trade Gordon for 3 second round picks next year. This organization was broken before henny got here he didnt cause this. He has put us on a great path with a very strong plan. We have several strong assets at every position on the floor because of him. I am sorry that we didnt jump right back into the playoffs after trading the best center in the league and overturning the WHOLE organization. I fully expect us to be more competitive and i think Rob sees that as the next part of the plan. Stop complaining and root for these new team members who are fully committed to working harder than Dwight ever did to build this program back to a championship caliber team

Henny is alot smarter than me about these decisions and i will trust him until he gives me a reason not too.

Well we got two high character guys again in Gordon and Payton. Both seem to be above average athletes and defenders as well. We're going to have a stacked backcourt defense with Payton, Oladipo, and Gordon (if he plays the three).

Harris was putting up 17 and 8 for 4 years? We traded for him during his second season while he was sitting at the end of the Bucks bench so I don't know where you're getting these stats from.

But what exactly is the problem with taking a sure thing? Cleveland took a risk drafting Bennett over Oladipo. And not 24 hours ago they were begging us to trade him to them. You should take risks with later picks in the late loto or late teens early 20s not at the very top especially this year. You need to make sure u get a productive player and he did

Harris was putting up very consistent advanced statistics and per40 since he began college. He's continued on the same path since being traded here too. It was to be expected he would play like this given more minutes basically is what I'm saying.

Dylan, you are acting like a 12 year old Nazi. Relax buddy, it is OK. Nobody said Henny is an idiot or screwed everything up. Anybody ever compared him to Otis? Can't we have opinions about his moves and rationalize those opinions using logic? Wtf are we doing here otherwise?
Yep, he does not take much risks. That is an objective statement of my opinion, and not necessarily a bad thing.
