Gortat and Lowry no longer options, go to the other poll thread.

I'll give a longer, more-detailed answer later, but I chose Lowry. Still big time on his bandwagon.

It's not an easy decision for me but I think I'll have to go with Lowry, he's just the best player. If Gortat was younger I might have gone with him.

Lowry is 28.3 YO
Gortat 30.4 YO.

Who knows when we'll have cap space again, whoever we pick better be productive for the all 4 years of his contract.

Im hoping Ennis could grow to be an Ariza type player.

And that Justin Hamilton could become an Hawes type player.

I still definitely want a legit rebounding and defensive big, So im hoping we could give the Money to Lowry and also Add Okafor for real cheap (room exception) and get decent production if he bounces back from his injury.

So it's Lowry + Okafor for me. Add Ennis + Hamilton + Nappier, might be really good offseason if the rookies pan out.

Lowry. I like Napier but we still stink at PG right now.

Add Lowry and we're back to having the best perimeter rotation in the NBA. From there, we can figure out how to bridge the 20 minutes at C that Bosh/Birdman can't give us.

Another point regarding Lowry - Could he play next to Nappier?

When Allen is gone after next year, We'll need to have someone besides Wade at SG. Someone good.

If Napier pans out, I think Lowry could give minutes at SG, he's strong enough. Then we'll have two guards that can shot and defened next to Lebron.

Kyle Lowry, Jordan Hill, Kris Kardashian, vet min Emeka Okafor.

Kyle Lowry is a bit of a pipe dream but Trevor Ariza is an even bigger pipe dream.

The question is, how much cap space will the Heat likely have if the big 3 took REALISTIC paycuts...

Going to go with Shaun Livingston. I also want Jordan Hill and Vince Carter if possible.

Any of Gortat, Ariza, Lowry. I would **** my pants if we somehow land any of them. Though I doubt we do.

Jordan Hill I wouldn't mind too and that might be more realistic

Even before the PO ended, I was really high on Ariza, but the fact that we have Ennis and probably Beasley, the more pressing needs are at PG and C. I'm going to go with the best overall player and that is Lowry.

At the 5 spot, I like Hill, simply because he is a great rebounder. A little injury prone and not really much of a shotblocker (at least as far as I remember), but I'd take his rebounding over Hawes, Gasol or Kardashian any day.

Agreed, Ideally we clear up 14 Mil in cap space (Trading Cole, Haslem opts out) then :

Lowry = 9.5 Mil
Jordan Hill = 4.5 Mil
Okafor = 2.7 Mil (room exception)

Ideally, we don't need Okafor, because Oden gets healthy and is a beast next year. Ideally.

You're not taking into account cap holds.

We'd likely have the full MLE (5M) to use.

Wrong on both statements. MLE counts against the cap, so we won't have it, we'll renounce it.

Already broke it down in other thread :

Move Cole and resign big 3 for less then max, we'll have enough cap space for a straight contract offer.

Salary cap = 63.5

Wade = 12
Lebron = 18
Bosh = 17
Haslem = opts out, comes back for vet min.
Napier = 1
Cap holds = 4

Total = 52 Mil.

11 Mil is more then a fair offer for Lowry, if he wants more then we pass on him. I think he can be had for 9-10 Mil given the Florida tax situation.

If big 3 take a bigger discount, might be able to squeeze Hill too.
