I think people are sleeping on Fournier. He's better than Singler+38th combined.

Re: OT- Arron Afflalo back to Denver for Peanuts
There's no way Orlando made this deal unless it was the best offer. Maybe the league doesn't rate Afflalo as high as we do because he's got a high usage rate on a bad team and is a free agent after this season.

ARGHHHHHHHHHHH!!
Are you serious? The Pistons could have made a better offer b/c he's exactly what we need and he wouldn't block KCP b/c they could play together or KCP could back him up and learn from him...
And I'm still pissed that Joe dealt him in the first place...

If I were Orlando, I would only keep Oladipo, 4th, and 12th. Harris? Vucevic? Harkless? that's value...
If they are doing this for salary, they might be buying out Jameer. And he might be coming to Detroit. That could be the silver lining.
SVG isn't looking to make the Pistons the Orlando Magic. Jameer isn't a great alternative to Jennings these days IMO

Fournier is a legit prospect that has more hype now that the spurs won.

Yeah, Orlando probably would of wanted KCP in return if Detroit was still interested in AA

Vince Ellis asked about why we weren't in on AA...fair question, all he knows is SVG and the gang are very high on KCP. May have come down to cheap guy that could turn into AA type vs expensive older guy that may just leave.

Good to hear that they are high on KCP

Re: OT- Arron Afflalo back to Denver for Peanuts
I was all for getting Afflalo when Joe D. was in his "Fake Win-Now!" frenzy of signing Josh Smith and trading for B. Jennings but at this point even if AA didn't hinder KCPs development, he'd be nothing more than a brief bridge between era's to help change the culture ala Cliff Robinson.
If he was under contract for more than next season + a player option at that $7.5/per and would play the 3 like he did last season when he was playing with V. Olidipo, he'd be more appealing but to give up assets for a year rental of a good contract simply isn't worth it.

Singler is already at where he will be for the rest of his career and his 3pt shooting isn't even that good.
I don't think Singler fetches the 56th alone
Fournier has 3x the potential as Singler and Orlando might select a few guys who have huge ceilings but need some time plus Fournier to extend the tank

Rumor was that Pistons were looking to get Afflalo a week before the Cheeks firing.

That'd bring it full circle wouldn't it? Bringing AA back when the same man traded him away for thin air.

Seems odd.
Fournier is a good prospect, but Fournier/56 for AA?
And per the realGM wiretap, CHA offered the Magic Gerald Henderson/24 for Afflalo....a much better deal unless the real benefit to the Magic in the Fournier deal was cap relief.

Re: OT- Arron Afflalo back to Denver for Peanuts
I read a tweet that talked about why AA's rumored trade value was so far off. His rumored trade value was based on the fact that you could get a top 5 SG in his prime on a 2 yr 15mil contract, but the experts (hard to call them experts when they mess things like this up) were not taking into acccount that AA can, and barring an injury or huge tank in production will, opt out of his contract after next season. If it was a 2 yr 15mil deal the Bulls probably would have considered trading for him with what they gave for Mcbuckets, but nobody was going to give up a high 1st rounder or 2 mid 1sts in a stacked draft for a 1 year rental on Afflalo.

Why would Orlando want Singler, they already have something there; a big is more valuable. Singler is 26, he is going to peak in the next two years before this contract ends. Hopefully we find a sucker.

If you know Fournier's game than you realize he has a much higher ceiling than anybody you could get for the 24th pick this year, he earned a rotation spot for Karl making him only the 2nd player to do that in Denver, he is a very nice slasher that can also hit wide open shots. The problem last year was that Shaw wanted him to turn into a spot up shooter, which was terrible for Fournier's game. Even still he had very good per 36 numbers for a 21 year old kid.
Add to that Henderson is on a marginal contract, and that deal was not close to the same value.
