SF-Gordon Hayward/Gerald Henderson/Jeffrey Taylor

You're still against MKG, huh?

I was for him with a sniper alongside him. Without Stauskas, we need Hayward more now or Parsons.

MKG was only 2nd to Kemba in positive net rating on the team. He's a very valuable part of our winning perspective once you take the superficial blinders off

You can make your own roster. :)

This is my final submission.

I'm not faulting you for your roster. It's your prerogative. Your roster is intriguing and full of talent, but our defense would take a hit while not actually adding a legit scoring threat

What did we get for MKG on your roster? S&T for Hayward? Also need more CDR less Taylor.

I got Hayward and cleared cap space by doing it so I could accommodate Lance as well. I think we need 2 big name players with that 22 million. Lance for me is a given, money alone. That moves me to SF where you have Hayward or Parsons. If I could fit Parsons on the books I would, but Lance + Parsons eats up most if not all that 22 million. And the Rockets don't want to take back any salary even in the form of talent since they're pursuing Carmelo Anthony. I guess they could move Harden for Carmelo and be open to sign + trade for Parsons but I like Hayward's ball handling ability and prior chemistry with Al Jefferson.

You think a hick town state like Utah would trade away a fan favorite like Gordon Hayward straight up for MKG (who happens to have a reputation outside of Charlotte as a bust) that easily?

Utah has Kanter, Favors, and Gobert. They're not interested in Biyombo or Zeller

If I have to dump Biyombo somewhere to make it work, I will.

PG - Kemba Walker, Jarrett Jack
SG - P.J. Hairston, Gerald Henderson, Jeff Taylor
SF - Gordon Hayward, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
PF - Josh McRoberts, Noah Vonleh, Cody Zeller
C - Al Jefferson, Bismack Biyombo or FA

Plans after the draft

Post#137 » by baseballislife » Fri Jun 27, 2014 4:19 pm

PG: Walker (Livingston) (Ridnour)
SG: Henderson Hairston Neal
SF: MKG (Granger) Taylor (CDR)
PF: Vonleh Zeller
C: Jefferson (Humphries) Biyombo

20m in cap after Haywood trade I believe
plus 5m exception

3 main moves i would do are
Resign CDR (love him off the bench)
Humphries (nice player to have off the bench who can rebound, be a bruiser down low, and score a little)
Livingston (love him as a back up to Kemba, played very well for Brooklyn this past season)
leaves 2 roster spots: PG and SF (wouldn't mind Ridnour back as #3 PG, use MLE on Danny Granger)

don't see the need to carry a 6th big

There's no 5m exception. A team has to choose between the 5 million mid-level exception and cap space (and if you're more than 5m under the cap, you obviously choose the cap space).

Walker / Sessions / Curry
Henderson / Hairston / Neal
Hayward / MKG / Taylor
Noah Vonleh / McRoberts / Tolliver
Jefferson / Zeller / Biyombo

I think Stephenson re signs with Pacers

Melo going to the Bulls, so Houston will re sign Parsons.

I would like Hayword, since he did play in Utah with Jefferson, Jefferson said he's been talkiing to players about coming to Charlotte, what if Hayward is a person he's been talking to? If not him theen, Loul Deng.

Vonleh will only receive 15 - 20 min his rookie year. Highly doubt he starts.
