If the Kings stand pat, would you be disappointed?
The Hickson trade, as well as Jason Thompson's contract, seem to be the most negative aspects going forward. Here is to hoping we clean the mess up!

If they didn't land one of Smart, Randle, Vonleh, or Embiid in the draft yes.

I have been silently praying the Jazz fall in love with Aaron Gordon and decide to take him, which would assure that one them would probably drop. I want Randle!

Kings stood pat and most people seem disappointed. It seems like my question was answered

Re: Expecting moves today?
The Kings better make significant moves this offseason or they'll win about 28 games again with this roster. I'm thoroughly disappointed they didn't make any moves today. The glow of new management is starting to fade for me. And don't call me impatient. We have the longest playoff draught in the league after the Timberwolves. That puts my patience level near the top of every fan of this league.
Three facts everybody knows: the Kings were 30th in assists, 28th in 3PT%, and 27th in blocked shots last year.
Assists: The Spurs led the league last year and won the championship. Eight of the top 10 teams ranked by assists per game made the playoffs.
3PT%: The Spurs were at the top here again. And again, eight of the top 10 teams ranked by 3PT% made the playoffs last year.
Blocked shots: Seven of the top 10 teams ranked by blocked shots made the playoffs last year. OKC was second, Rockets third, Pacers fifth, Spurs ninth.
I understand the Kings improved in 3PT% with the Stauskas pick. But the teams' bigs besides Cousins are still Thompson, Landry, Acy, and Reggie Evans, none of whom are starter-caliber on any team in this league, and none of whom block any shots. The teams' PG situation is unresolved -- and in any event, if Thomas stays, you have a starter who has publicly said twice he wants to be wanted for being a shoot-first point guard, and a second rounder as your only backup. Then you go and draft a guy in the lottery at the same position as your lottery pick from last year and make 0 moves to otherwise improve the roster despite players addressing other needs being there for the taking.
If the Kings want to keep Gay beyond this season -- if the Kings want to prevent a Kevin Love-type debacle with Cousins -- if the Kings want fans to give a damn about the new arena being built -- they have to improve this roster beyond just drafting a guy like Stauskas. They could have started last night. Asik and Afflalo were available, contracts were dumped (e.g., Haywood), teams without second-rounders acquired multiple second round picks, the Heat even got their guy in Shabazz through wheeling and dealing. Where was our management's creativity and initiative? With the number of needs this team has, I find it unacceptable management didn't do more. Now it's on them to make it up to the fans by making multiple splashes before the season starts.

But what move is there to make? At some point Cousins and Gay need to win us some games.

I agree with you. I think all of the rumors going around made it seem like we were going to be making moves though. It is easy to get your hopes up

Doesn't help when guys with sources on these boards consistently bring up "knowledge" about a plethora of deals that the organization are actively discussing.
I fear more and more we are just headed towards the treadmill

You're killing me...you didn't have to put your heart strings into a message board rumor.

Good. I like the guy. Slow as a stone but he's actually pretty skilled and will use his size. Oversized poor mans Roy Hibbert. I hope he makes the team. Good gimmick too.
